“Great stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

My husband and I stayed in this resort during 4 nights (Nov. 26-Nov 30), prior to the cruise that departed from Port Everglades and enjoyed this hotel very much. We stayed in an ocean front room on the sixth floor (# 642) with an amazing view. It also has a nice terrace with 2 chairs & small table. Due to renovation works for the new restaurant/bar, we were offered a complimentary breakfast which was more than we had expected. The room was newly decorated and well equiped; bathroom was very functional; mattresses were super. All personnel (cleaning/reception/valet men/beachboy Steve) were all very helpful and friendly. Pool was very clean.
It's a pity that we saw that sometimes people were too lazy to put their beach towel in the dirty linen basket.
Except for the restaurant on the spot which by now is open again, there is no other place to eat within walking distance - this is a small disadvantage in our opinion - a car is indispensable if you want to eat somewhere else.
We booked long enough in advance and at a promotional rate, directly with the hotel; the standard rate seemed fairly high to us.
Since we live in Europe it is highly unlikely that we will return to this hotel but we can strongly recommend it for 4/5 nights.

Room Tip: Ocean front rooms, floor 3 or higher.

This is a wonderful property on the beach. It is only a few miles from the terrific restaurants and activities of Delray, yet offers a very private, intimate experience for its guests. During my visit the hotel was undergoing renovations which caused the lobby, bar and restaurant to be closed. We were compensated by a reduced price on rooms and free continental breakfast. Despite the fact that we stayed there in early November and the extensive renovations, the property was still sold out for many dates. This is my second stay and definitely not my last.

Room Tip: The ocean front rooms are really great, but most rooms offer a side view of ocean. I would not recom...

Have stayed here multiple times, always a pleasure. Newly renovated (not done yet) smaller hotel right on the ocean with pool, great views, nice staff. Rooms are updated and nice. Small but with amenities- once restaurant is open again I look forward to 4 pm happy hours at the new outdoor bar. Restaurant is great, best ocean front views. Close to many restaurants, beaches, beautiful area. Currently finishing up renovations but should be open by mid-December (restaurant and bar/lobby area).

Room Tip: Ask for beach or pool view if you want to spend a few extra $$. Definitely worth it!

Renovated Holiday Inn. Misfortune of staying during renovation. Construction went on 7 days a week. Biggest drawback was having to get in the car to get something to eat or drink. Staff very friendly, rooms were clean. Great area if you like to go for walks. I predict finished product is going to be very nice.

My husband and I spent 6 nights at this hotel last week. We were told by the hotel ahead of time that they were undergoing renovations to their bar/restaurant area. We had absolutely no problem with the construction that was going on. The noise was very minimal (if any) and we still enjoyed the pool and beach area. They had a wonderful continental breakfast for their guest each morning. The hotel was beautiful, clean and well maintained. We just loved this place and we can't wait to go back. If you can, get a room facing the ocean, it's so beautiful each morning to have your coffee on the patio listening to the ocean. Can't wait to go back !

Room Tip: 6th floor Ocean front is perfect !

3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 10, 2014

Just spent a night here on the way down the coast to Fort Lauderdale. Be aware that the restaurant and reception are being completely re-built, so no food in the evenings, lots of noise next to the pool, and nowhere to eat within walking distance -so $20 taxi each way or self-drive. In the afternoon there was a basic BBQ available, with drinks from an ice cooler. all disappeared at 3pm, no way of getting another drink after that and little interest in helping.
Taxi`s very slow arriving, after 45mins wait the car valet took us in his own car {many thanks}.
However.. good location on beach, room recently renovated and very nice, and when restaurant is finished should be good. Breakfast was above average for an American complimentary breakfast. After complaining refunded $25 but wouldn`t have stayed there had we known. We were told should be finished in 3 months, don`t consider until then if you like peace and quiet and a nice local evening meal.

Room Tip: Ocean front very nice

Beachfront hotel in south florida thats not a high-rise and is "away from it all". What's not to like about that? LOVED this place. Everything we wanted in a place to stay while visiting family. Perfect. Except there was a party going on in the room below us one night. Paid extra for ocean front upstairs balcony (worth it!) but could not enjoy the balcony with all the noise going on below our room on the one night we had planned to do so. The rest of the stay was delightful though.
