“WiFi, WiFi where are you”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 5, 2013

Let me say at the start that the front desk, staff, business center and breakfast area is top notch and that assist in making this Holiday Inn Express a value. But one problem that this Hotel had was its WiFi reception.

The first room was unable to receive any signal even when I called their assistance center for help. Spent the better part of two hours attempting to access the internet. They tried many ways none worked. So they moved us to another room.

WiFi worked in this room BUT IT WAS SO SLOW at times that it took two or three minutes for a page to load or it just did not make contact at all with their servers. This is a problem that usually occurred before 0900 in the morning and after 1500 to about 2200 or later for each of the 8 days we had this room.

POOL: Great but at this time in Florida it is hot and humid (OK) but rain showers are a off and on problem (not ok).

They have a washer and dryer room to do your clothes but not change machine to make change to put into the machine.

There is a fence that restricts entry into and out of the property and many security guards who every time I saw them they were always near the main entrance.

Parking was not a problem even though the many semi-trailer trucks that were in the area during our stay tended to take up space near the fence near the main entrance which, at times, tended to make getting into and out of the parking space harder than normal.

Stayed at this hotel for 5days in the summer. Hotel is very clean with friendly and welcoming staff. Breakfast is great with a wide variety of choices. They have a magazine collection in the lobby area with a variety of tourist attractions, shopping centres, discount booklets and also maps free of charge. House keeping is done every day (not sure of time) but always returned to a clean room and clean towels with a fresh bar of soap. In case you forget your toothbrush or comb, have no fear, the front desk provides mini ones free of charge upon request. It is located close to the highway but this was not a problem for me. However, at night is is hard to find a park as truck drivers probably sleep there and park their vehicles & trailers picking up 2-4 sometimes 5 lots of parking space. There are also great shopping malls nearby. Overall I enjoyed my stay and would recommend this hotel.

Had been trying to keep our cost down for a 2 night stay and came upon this hotel. We had looked at quite a few cheaper hotels and they were dumps. Decided to try a "Holiday Inn" because we had always had good luck with them. Glad that we did. Very nice people at the front desk and they offered truck parking which we needed. Room and hotel were very clean. Pool was nice and the grounds seemed pretty well taken care of. The "Hot Breakfast" was a step above a Continental Breakfast and was good. We will just look for a Priority Club Hotel next time and stop wasting time on the other ones. You get what you pay for.

I recently stayed at this Holiday Inn Express. I was concerned because it seemed cheaper than the other Holiday Inn's around this area. I was very pleasantly surprised. The hotel room was big and very clean. The beds were comfortable. The hotel staff were extremely friendly. Breakfast was the same as other Holiday Inn Express' however, they had multiple staff cleaning, re-stocking food items, and taking plates. Very nice hotel. I will definately return.

This is an average hotel. If you're just passing through for a night it'd be ok. We had to stay three nights before our cruise. They served breakfast and that was it. There isn't a restaurant so you have to go out for lunch and dinner. Our room never got cleaned until late in the day. According to the cleaning woman we were the last room on her list however we were on the first floor. The pool was ok too. It's not nearly as big as the photos show. It was very cold. We had to wait 20 minutes to get towels. I would say if you have children stay somewhere else. I wish we would have stayed at the Holiday Inn on Biscayne Blvd in Miami as we did three weeks prior. It has everything and only for a little more a night. My sister-in-law booked this hotel for all of us. But as I said, this hotel is good for someone just passing through or a business person who will just be in and out. You must have a rental car or take a taxi everywhere. We thought things would be within walking distance. We were wrong. At least nice places weren't within walking distance. We won't be staying here again.

Dear Corina311,

Thank you for staying with us and for your review. I do apologize for what seems to have been a very average stay with us. Unfortunately, we are not in a resort or leisure section of Miami. With regards to your room being cleaned at a latter part of the day, we would have gladly scheduled your room to be cleaned earlier simply by requesting this be done. We will be sure to take your comments to help us improve our service. We welcome your sincere comments and the opportunity you provide us to continually improve.

Sincerely,

Constantino Papadopulos

Stayed here for the second time (first time was 2011) and it was as god as I remembered.
When we arrived it was full but we were lucky and thanks to a cancelation we got a room.

Friendly staff, very clean rooms, great breakfast, nice beds.

I will definately come back in the future!
