“This is not an airport hotel and filthy”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed February 14, 2013

Ramada is not a place to stay . We booked here for one night to fly home after vacation cruise and Disney . We were there for Nemo storm .Flight cancelled. The Hotel is not airport 35 cab fare to get there.Cabby even says they just claim to be airport to get buisiness. In short the room was disgusting, noisy, filthy,Do not stay here .THe bathtube had more paint peeling off than left. The adjoining room door was not near sound proof. When we needed to extend one more night ,they jacked the price to 160 from 85 a night not worth 29.99 ,They tried to gouge us so we moved to the Howard Johnson across the road 119 a night free breakfast and far supperior room.

Room Tip: Call the Howard Johnson or get a real airport hotel that is clean and maintained.Ramad is not reliab...

Dear Mike C

Thank you for sharing your thoughts with Tripadvisor. Please know that your feedback is important to us. I will inspect the room that you stayed in and make sure we correct any issues we find. I understand that when flights are canceled this causes additionnal stress to travelers. The reason that our price went up is bacuse we were sold out and had limited rooms available. Please know that we are closer to the airport than Howard Johnson.

Sincerely,

Armando

There were a lot of positives of this hotel but also a few issues. I'll start with the good...
-great to have the shuttle to and from the airport and to the cruise port. The staff was well organized and it was a simple process
-first impression of the hotel in the lobby is good
-pool area was nice
-the staff were always helpful although sometimes it seemed as if they could have used more staff during busy times
-convenient location to restaurants and the mall; we got in some great shopping.

The negatives were...
-the rooms need some tlc. They are old and worn and tired. Lots of mold in the bathroom in caulking around the tub, every wall could use a coat of paint and even though we had a balcony, there was no door to get out on it!

If you don't mind a room that's a little sketchy, you'll be fine here. If you're really particular, don't stay here.

Room Tip: I believe the rooms that have working balconies are in the annex, not in the main hotel. Get one of...

The recently renovated Ramada Miami Airport is a noce place to stay if you visit Miami. The staff is friendly, the location is pretty good, next to a major highway "Palmetto Expressway" that will give you easy access to the 95 expressway or to the Florida Turnpike...

Excellent Hotel for shopping, they even take you to Walmart or to Westland Mall which is across the street...

Rooms are very clean and for the price is worth it to stay there!!!

This hotel is definitely north of the airport- a solid 15-20 min drive. So the location isn't great, but the property is nice and value is good. The beds were comfortable and the rooms overall were quite nice. The property could use a little touching up- the elevator is extremely loud and slow and some of the bathroom fixtures need to be replaced. The staff were friendly and they give you a feedback card with your room key. My email was answered within 24 hours, so they do care about making customers happy. The restaurant in the hotel was mediocre and understaffed when I went- the server was nice, but she was basically handling the entire place herself and this arrangement did not lead to quick service. Overall a solid bet, and a great option if you need to get to the airport- I took the 6am bus (first of the day) and the driver was friendly and helpful and we had no trouble getting to the right place on time.
