Off the beaten path, this "theme" restaurant lives up to its Cracker heritage. We were seated in a room that had a boat in the middle of the dining area, with lots of books, art around -- for sale.
We started with the Cracker sampler -- fried gator, mushrooms, green tomatoes, frog legs with lots of dipping sauces. Some odd items here, but all worth the bread crumbs. Up next the knockout of the evening, and the most ironic -- venison medallions. The kids gobbled them up, regardless of the "Yearling" theme with that dang cute fawn Flag. Looks like daddy done cooked him up kids, and he sure tastes good! They got another venison appetizer for their entree. Deer sure was dear. I finished up with a ribeye that was also good. The meat here is top notch. Some orangey chocolate pie thang completed dessert. All good, all special, all worth getting off the main road.
