We have eaten at Hobbit Hoagies of Havana many times over the years. Often the place is packed in the evening and it is not unusual to have to wait a bit to get seated at a table. Lunches are less crowded and if you come on an "off hour" you can get seated and served much faster. Depending on when you come and what you order it is possible to become frustrated with a long...or a very long wait for your food to arrive (one evening we waited a little over an hour for a Taco Salad, an order of wings and a hamburger!) I enjoy their chicken wings which are available as Mild ,Medium ,Hot , X-Hot , BBQ , Honey BBQ , Hot BBQ , Garnet & Gold, Fiesta Ranch, Medium Fiesta Ranch, Garlic Lemon, Lemon Pepper , Carolina Gold ,Honey Mustard, Caribbean ,Spicy Caribbean, Sweet Teriyaki ,Garlic Heat , Garlic Medium and Berry Inferno.
Their hot and cold hoagies are all good choices and are served with fries or chips. We enjoy their huge salads- the Chef, the Taco and the Greek should satisfy any appetite.I do not like the greasy "Hobbit Toast" pita pieces...once they were good- but not during my last several visits. Our family likes their hamburgers which are available in many forms...all good. One recent addition that personally love is their Fried Fish Basket-yes it is from frozen white fish..but it is delicious-the huge fillets are good and moist with a crispy fried batter that tastes terrific! We are usually pleased with the food-but if something is amiss (such as the fries being cold) they quickly and cheerfully correct the problem. The service is usually good but at times they are short on staff or will have a new waiter who is inattentive. This is Havana's most popular eating spot where you can enjoy watching a game on TV while killing a few beers if you choose or a good spot to bring the entire family for a tasty meal.
