“Great Food low prices!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 6, 2012

Have been going to Nick's for a few years now each time I return to Hallandale, Florida. It is hometown cooking with very large portions! Not much in the way of atmousphere but the great food makes up for it. Try the 1/2 baked chicken and you will have some to take home for a second meal. With this entre you will get a choice of soup or salad, 1/2 baked chicken, potatoe, vegetable, dessert and beverage all for $9.98. Many other entre's at the same low price. The waitstaff are very friendly just like back in the 50's when they cared about serving with a smile and fast service. Be sure and try the homemade pies and cake and their baked sweetpotatoes, if they have them on the day you are there. Cannot beat this place for Good food at reasonable prices!

“Horrible!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed February 1, 2012 via mobile

The place used to be good before they changed owners. Now, its utterly horrible. The service is utterly pittifull, the quality of the food is
mediocre at best, and the prices are outrageous! I ordered a Sand. To go and the charged me for Lettuce, tomato, and the to go box. Are you kidding me? I ordered a sandwich and your charging me for a LTO setup? Lunacy. Do not eat here! The waitresses are old bitter nasty women, the food is fair at best, and the prices are ludacris! They charge you for anything you can. Save the money and aggrevation and eat somewhere else.

“Old time charm.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 27, 2012

You will step back in time when you walk through the doors at Nick's restaurant and the food is fresh, delicious and homemade. The portions are plentiful and you will not leave hungry (if you do, it's your own fault. ;) ).

We ate here for breakfast and recommend the omelets, grits and pancakes.

Will return here when visiting the Miami area in the future.

“Good solid traditional diner food.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 19, 2012

We had the meatloaf with mashed and veggie and a grilled cheese and bacon sandwich. It was hot, tasty and reasonably priced. Hey, this is a basic, traditional diner (since 1962) and looks it. Just the thing I look for to get away from the Denny's of the world. Seinfield (the T.V. character) would eat here. Recommended.
