“Beware of the overpriced specials”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 28, 2010

The friendly waiter cites and recommends specials without prices....Then, the specials are over twice as expensive as everything else on the menu. Very average food at a very high prices. We felt we were ripped off. I mean there's no view or anything to warrant the high prices.

“Superb service,value”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 15, 2010

Upscale atmosphere, quiet music, attentive service - you expect it at an expensive restaurant. But when full meals between 4 and 6 PM run only $13.50 - 17, you have a very unusual experience. The salad, with fresh greens and homemade vinaigrette was among the best I've ever had in a restaurant. The soup was made from fresh vegetables, and quite different from the usual minestrone. The "early" entrees tend to the Italian basics -veal parmigiana, etc ., and are well prepared in smaller portions. An unusual touch is an "early bird" wine and dessert menu, basically at half price. The ricotta cheese cake was outstanding, and at $3 for a generous slice, a great value. Be sure to ask for the early dining menu - they don't automatically provide it. You won't be disappointed.

“Stay away and eat next door - no Italian cooking here!!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed January 3, 2010

We attend after the conceirge of our hotel recommended this for a nice Italian meal with a piano bar. The singer was off key, and that should have been the first hint to turn around. The service was very good but unfortunately what they brought was bland and no respectable Italian would serve. The soup was lacking flavour and the paste sauce tasted out of a jar. Even the meat dishes were unrecognizable. Did not order dessert thank god.

“Outstanding”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 3, 2009

We travel to Hallandale once or twice a year to go to the races at Gulfstream Park. For each of the last three years we have had dinner here and each time it was outstanding. Excellant authentic Italian food, a comprehensive wine list and very good service. They also have live entertaninment, usually a piano with Dean Martin type music. The service is very good but it can be slow because everything is made to order. Last week I had chicken scarpariella and my wife had a fish dish (the name of which I cannot remember). Both were A+. Highy recommended and reasonably priced for whatever you order.
