Sorry, but I think that almost $200 for a Chinese dinner for 4 is insane. Now, if this had been the most exquisite Chinese food I'd ever eaten, I guess that would be a different story, but this was just mundane fare. And to add insult to injury with a prices running $18 -$30 for a main course, they don't include steamed white rice! That is extra. Come on. This is a Chinese restaurant. They can't afford to throw in the rice?
I began my meal with the bean curd and vegetable soup. The broth was devoid of any flavor whatsoever. My husband also had soup, the hot and sour, which he said was fine, but instead of bringing the egg rolls after he had finished the soup, they brought them at the same time, so the egg rolls just sat on the table and got cold. That doesn't happen at the cheap Chinese place around the corner from use, but this expensive one doesn't bother to time the servings of the courses?
Each of the four of us had a different main course. Included in the entrees were an order of walnut chicken, one of Peking duck, one of cashew chicken, and one called Neptune's Delight which is a seafood platter. The portions are ample and the food was good, but again, I've had meals that were equally tasty for half the price.
I agree with the reviewer who said that the restaurant is too big and too noisy for intimate dining. If you're looking for a delicious Chinese meal, this is not the place to come.
