“Beautiful Hotel, Beautiful Beach!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 days ago NEW via mobile

This review was incorrectly submitted for the Westin, but it should have been for the Westin Diplomat. The hotel was beautifully decorated and clean ( except for a stain on my comforter that should have been laundered The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The Concierge staff may need some additional training as we were misguided by two different employees of that department. When we booked, we knew it would be busy as it was a holiday week, but there was a holiday convention, as it were, which made things extraordinarily hectic. Knowing so, a prestigious hotel of this size should have been better prepared so that they didn't run out of breakfast items or umbrellas or so that there weren't endless waits for elevators. Pools, beach and fitness center are terrific ( though the beach is small and having a lifeguard on duty at the pool to enforce the rules might guarantee a more pleasant experience for everyone). A better system of reserving beach chairs that have been paid for ( a tag with a number that corresponds to the guest's wristband, maybe?) is needed in order to avoid, well, let's call them " misunderstandings." We regret not renting a car as there are few restaurants within walking distance and those inside the hotel are expensive. We took a day trip to Miami and loved it ( Hertz is right across the street!). We were very surprised that airport transportation wasn't available? One employee who deserves recognition is Nagy, of the spa locker room( I hope I'm spelling her name correctly). She couldn't have been more attentive or cheerful...she ended our stay on a most positive note!

We went for our honeymoon and was great, is a little bit far and not too many restaurant in the area but was good. The adventure mall is one of the best choices around. We love it and we recommend it. The pool is cool, u can swim at nigh time, the beach is clean and there were no too many people

Really liked this hotel.. wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy the beach and the pools. The view from our 18th floor balcony was amazing. Definitley want to stay there again and stay longer to enjoy the entire resort

Room Tip: You must get an ocean view room!

My boyfriend took me as a surprise for my birthday weekend and I have to say, I absolutely fell in love with this hotel. Everything about it is amazing, the rooms where stunning, as well as the views. The only downside is that you have to pay extra for wifi and the signal there is not so great; but other than that it was an absolute perfect weekend!

Rooms were very clean and I loved that the drapes made the room pitch dark when closed (which helped me sleep better) The bathroom is also stunning and very romantic. I can't wait to go back !

Room Tip: Ocean view

We've stayed here many times but this visit was disappointing. We are Starwood members and asked for an upgrade when checking in,we we're celebrating our Anniversary we were told the hotel was full, not true!! We went to our room and was disappointed again very small carpet a little worn and air wasn't working well they sent someone to fix it but through our 6 night stay it kept getting very hot. When we called and complained again they asked if we wanted to change rooms at 11:30 PM very inconvenient. They have a small beach but you have to pay for chairs, also have WIFI but they want you to pay daily. For a supposidly high end hotel they really nickel and dime you!! No bar or food service at beach or towels by the beach you pay for beach chairs but you have to get your own towels. For the prices they charge they should be more accomidating to their guest.

Went here March 26-28 and it was wonderful. We had a wrap around balcony with a partial ocean view and a city view. They have cribs, bottle Warmers, diaper genies and outlet plugs for people traveling with children. Don't have to bring sand toys because the westin kids club lays out a bunch of toys for the kids on the beach. The food and drinks are pricey. The cafe for breakfast buffet is yummy! Service is great! Very close to the boardwalk.

The rooms are amazing and all employees are extremely helpful. The pool and beach are exquisite. It is an incredible resort whether for a few days or a vacation. Make sure you book enough nights for your visit. If you don't you may experience having to change rooms and it is not a pleasant experience.

Room Tip: ask for room facing ocean and with a balcony. Suites are amazing and concierge floor.
