I've eaten here multiple times and the food has never disappointed. It is always fresh and well prepared. It should be noted that the menu selection is somewhat limited, even with the daily specials, although iIt really is not a problem since there are sufficient choices and all are good.
The restaurant is quite small, so reservations are always a must.
The wine list is not as extensive as it once was and it is rather expensive. Specials are usually offered and are less costly.
Dinner for three with wine (from the discounted list at $22), two shared starters, a shared dessert and coffees was about $125 plus tip. I doubt most people could handle a starter by themselves, so sharing was the way to go. The shared Il Mercado Sundae was gigantic and easily enough for three.
It is a favorite and well worth a visit.
