I've been to Brio in West Palm for a wonderful lunch (party of 5), when we had good food and good service, however the Hallandale location was a little different. The front door was open on a very humid evening so it just felt sticky the entire time. The house Pinot Noir was very good. Our bread never arrived until we (party of 7) until we asked for it and then it was just minutes before our dinner was served. I ordered the gluten free Pasta Primavera and was told by the server it was Pasta Pomodoro but waiter said is was the primavera, which is was not. It was delicious (sun dried tomatoes, fresh tomatoes, mushrooms and fresh basil and chicken) but was not the primavera which has feta cheese and NO chicken. Waiter brought gluten free menu over to prove to me it was the primavera (I'd told him it was delicious and no need to prove it to me) but as he approached the table, changed his mind and asked if I was enjoying it and then left (guess he figured out it wasn't the primavera; since I was paying, I never saw the bill to see if we were properly charged. Waiter went to great lengths to describe his favorite dish (Chicken Milanese), which sounded wonderful, but in actuality, it was chicken parmesan on angel hair pasta and from what my friend said, it was just average. Another in our party ordered 14 oz steak "artichoke encrusted" but it was just a schmear across top of steak, which was tough in places. The 2 children in our party loved their dinners (cheeseburger and grilled chicken w/broccoli) and the waiter brought the shared desserts with candles to celebrate the birthday at our table. It was also exceptionally noisy as the background music was not background. The restaurant is beautiful inside, parking was free and close by, but my experience wasn't good enough to revisit this location.
