If you are not "into" nature you probably want to pick a different attraction. This is a huge wetland that at one time was a lake. Then suddenly a few years later a sinkhole or something opened up and it turned back into a swampy wetland. In an effort to recreate what the early botanist William Bartram experienced when his explorations brought him here in the 1700's, the people in charge imported bison and maybe the wild horses. At any rate, both horses and the bison live there now. We saw a family of wild horses, a large owl, and a water mocassin snake. No alligators. No bison (the ranger said they were angry.) I think if we had seen more interesting wildlife I would have given it a 4, but I definitely do not think it deserves a 5.
