“Yum!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 29, 2013 via mobile

I try to stop by this place whenever I'm in Gainesville. The beer is all great and they have lots of choices to try. And the pints are cheap! I love all the cypress wood on and around the bar. It's a no frills place -there's no food or music. Just good beer.

“Unpretentious Local Brewery”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 25, 2013

This is a nice local brewery in an very low key and simple warehouse setting. Nothing fancy and that was what was so great about it. There was a lot of activity for a Saturday night and plenty of varieties to sample, You can purchase beer by the glass or growler if you prefer to take it home. Seating is available adjacent to the actual brew kettles. Worth the visit.

“Small local brewery”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 6, 2013

I had to have a beer glass that said "Swamp Head Brewery" on it . What a great name. I didn't expect the beer to be a as good as it was. There is free tasting of the 4-6 beers they have available. After that you can buy a growler of your favorite for a very reasonable price. Their souvenir "shop" is a small ledge behind the bar so you'll have to ask about it if you want a souvenir glass. Most of their beers tend to be hoppy, but there were a couple that were a little less so.
The place can be a little hard to find. It is at the end of a dead end street toward the back of a small warehouse park. There's plenty of parking by the brewery and you can see the brewing kettles as you drive up. The people there are very friendly.

“Craft Beer Drinkers. Do not visit Gainsville without a trip to Swamp Head”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 23, 2013

Located in an industrial park off of Archer Road, this local craft brewery has an outstanding selection of regular and seasonal beers on tap. You can also purchase growlers to take home just in case you did not get your fill while there. There is inside seating at the bar as well as a few tables inside and outside next to the tanks. Average price for 16oz beer is $4. Reasonable for a great craft beer. The atmosphere is laid back and the service is excellent. I understand that on Friday nights before home games, there are food trucks on site as well as live music. Reminder, there is no food served at the brewery itself. Do not miss it if you are in town. Hours are limited during the week so be sure and call ahead to make sure they are open.
