“Moderately loud, my [--]”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 9, 2013

We visited KC Crave on a Saturday night. Though we had called for a reservation, we still waited about 20 minutes to be seated. We ordered the tsunami chips, which probably have no redeeming nutritional value, being potato chips smothered in cheese and bacon. Basically death on a plate, but tasty! We also had some delicious fried green tomatoes, ahi tuna, and a couple of very enjoyable cocktails. The only fly in the ointment was the noise level. There was live music upstairs and people had to raise their voices, that was okay. However, about half of the clientele seemed to be young women shrieking, cackling, and squealing. It was hard to enjoy the food when every few minutes some high-pitched blast of sound would practically shake you out of your chair. My ears were ringing for an hour afterwards. If you’re planning to have a conversation during dinner, you may want to go somewhere else; if you want a place for you and your girlfriends to scream like banshees, KC Crave will be perfect.

“New and different dining experience”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2013

The atmosphere is great. The decor is simple and updated. They have a nice lounge area outside with outdoor tables as well. The food portions are huge--they can definitely be shared. The salads are humongous. The Tsunami chips appetizer was really good and enough to share among 7 people!
I had the bourbon chicken--not the typical kind. The favors were different, in a good way. We all left stuffed, so we didn't try the any of the desserts. Would go back.

“So enjoyed the food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 26, 2013

Place was very busy but so worth the wait. Food was fantastic. The desserts was to die for. Definitely recommend. Can be pricey. Fiancé and I spent about 120 dollars. Definitely great restaurant though. Oh I think I have said enough. Must tell you though, menu items are not your typical restaurant items

“Upscale intown”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 15, 2013

I have been here twice and enjoyed it each time. A very creative menu, perhaps a little over priced. Great bar and fun drinks too! Ambience is South Beach-ish with many televisions scattered through the building. As others have said, there is absolutely nothing left of CJ's (thank goodness). I have not had a problem with wait staff, but the last time I went I need a walker to get around and the greeter placed us down one set of stairs then up another. Reallly? Doesn't appear to be very handicap friendly. Other than that, recommend it highly. Can be hard to get into late evenings as it has become a see and be seen place

“Tap Table and good small bites keep us in the ring”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 11, 2013

KC Crave location makes it a convenient location. Each of the small bites plates has gone well for us: sliders, rangoon, potato chips. Vietnamese salad and chicken dishes remain tasty, and the soups surprisingly good. If the waiters/waitresses up their game, it will help in time for celebration after fall football games. Wine prices appear reasonable, microbrews variety very nice - though a frequent flier program might help.
