“Excellence”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 17, 2013 via mobile

The staff if extremely helpful quick to process your order. I got the Kansas City with broccoli salad and both were excellent. The custard with my meal was dreamsicle, a delicious treat with a side of nostalgia. Would definitely recommend.

“Average Custard Place”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 14, 2013

On NW 13th Street and NW 5th Avenue where Booklovers Cafe used to be, this is a chain sandwich shop and custard place. Decent selection of sandwiches and wraps and the custard tastes like custard. I don't believe it deserves to be rated so high on Trip Advisor (at this time near the top). Management is very involved (and friendly) and has a wide network of people, and they are likely rating 5 stars out of 5 stars to boost ranks on Trip Advisor. Nice addition to the NW 13th corridor. You will get decent food at a decent price. This might be the only custard place in Gainesville at this time.

“Mmmm good”

If you are looking for a sandwich that is filling as well as good, this is the place for you. The custard is really good as well. Good clean restaurant in the university area.

“Warm, welcoming, great sandwiches”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 21, 2013

Sweetberries is reminiscent of the New England-style creameries of old...they even have a walk-up window.
The menu is extensive with sandwiches as the primary choice. You go up to the register, place your order and the staff will deliver it to your table.
The sandwiches are enormous - next time we will share one and leave room for custard.
Sweetberries is sunny, bright, clean and has outdoor seating. The restrooms are clean and spacious.

“Creamy and Dreamy Smooth!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 4, 2013 via mobile

I tried the tuna melt with apples and walnuts and it was the best melt I ever had! The grilled buttery sourdough bread was deliciously crunchy to compliment the crunch of walnuts and apples in a creamy tuna blend that was mild and not super fishy like some tuna salads. The accompanying potato salad was creamy but sweet. A little too sweet but tasty just the same. The chocolate frozen custard that came as part of the meal deal was creamy and delish! The decor is farmhouse chic and bright and inviting with large windows and a book shelf with books if you like to read and dine. A nice touch. Staff is friendly and eager to please. Definitely will be a favorite stop for a gourmet sandwich or some frozen custard on a sunny day!
