“Good, walkable campus”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 23, 2011

Son recently enrolled at U of F. The campus is hugh so don't expect to see it quickly or in detail. Wear good walking shoes as it is a very walkable campus. The are several pieces of interesting architecture and statues. The Bat House is a neat place at sundown when the bats fly out. There is an interesting nature trail (bring bug spray). There are several museums and displays of special interest. The campus has an interesting mix of new and old which should attract a wide group of interests. Parking can be a bit tricky when classes are in session. The length of you stay will depend entirely on how long you want to stay, from a couple of hours to a full day. And where there's college students there's always food (cheap and plentiful).

“The swamp, nothing compares to this stadium”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 9, 2011

You must see the swamp at least one time during a game. This stadium stands out among college stadiums. You'll think your at an NFL game.

“A Lot to See & It's All Free”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 31, 2011

You can cover several of Gainesville's top attactions in one stop by visiting the University of Florida campus. A top attaraction is the Florida Museum of Natural History, located at
SW 34th Street & Hull Road on the western edge of the campus. It is among the top 10 U. S. natural history museums and it includes the Butterfly Rainforest, an outdoor screened exhibit featuring hundreds of live butterflys in a setting of tropical foliage & flowers. Adjacent to the museum is the Samuel P. Harn Museum of Art. If you are a "Gator" fan, a visit to the 90,000 capacity Ben Hill Griffin football stadium just inside the campus gate at the intersection of W. University Ave & Gale Lemerand Drive is a "must-see.". At the northeast section of the campus is the University's Historic District, encompassing several buildings on the National Register of Historic Places.

“Driving and shopping”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 27, 2011

Avoid driving through campus if you can help it. The pedestrians and bicyclists cause a lot of congestion.
Visit "The Union" for UF Gator Gear.
