“Excellent Value”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 2, 2012

I paid $62 (+ tax) for a king room on a Wednesday night in October 2012. This is an excellent value.
Pros:
-Clean throughout. Newly renovated rooms are nice. The pics on their website are accurate.
-Good location, across from Target and Publix.
Cons:
-No breakfast.
-Internet Connections is slower than I would like. < 1 Mb/s. Good enough for checking email, reading the news, etc. But don't expect to stream a movie.
-No gym.

Summary: If you're looking simple, clean, affordable hotel, this is a very good option.

“Another good Red Roof stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 29, 2012

It's common for us to grab a last minute room while we're on the road and I have found that I can trust the Red Roof brand to be inexpensive and clean. I'm not crazy about pets being allowed but in this case they were segregated from the rooms without pets. I agree with a previous review, the new faux wood floors are much nicer than carpet that is hiding things you can't see. It was recently remodeled and was just what we needed for a lay over on our way to Disney World.

Room Tip: We were on the end away from the highway and it was very quiet.

“Excellent value for the money”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 25, 2012

We stayed with our dog in a newly renovated first-floor room. The bathroom fixtures were new, the floor had been redone in a light pseudo-wood finish, which looked clean and fresh and made finding any dropped items very easy--a marvelous improvement over the grubby carpet you find in so many motels.

Since we'd picked up a discount book at the Florida border, we stayed for $55, including taxes and pet! I would have happily paid more for such a quiet, newly remodeled room.

No breakfast was offered, which was just fine with us. Next door is a steak and shake, which provides a great breakfast including eggs for $3.99.

Service was friendly and helpful at both the red roof and the steak and shake. All in all, a very pleasant experience which I'd happily do again.

Room Tip: We were in 107, close to the back door, away from the highway, quiet. If you want a refrigerator, y...

“Great price and Newly renovated rooms!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 23, 2012

My husband and I recently stayed the weekend at the Red Roof Inn Gainesville. We spend many weekends in town during football season and this was our first time to book this hotel so didn't know what to expect. I have to say, this exceeded our expectations. Loved it and looking forward to our next stay there. The rooms were nicely renovated, clean and quiet. I would like to suggest that the hotel provide some upgraded coffee cups and at least some of the small containers of creamer. That powdered stuff is nasty.

Room Tip: This hotel is pet friendly

“Clean, friendly, GREAT value!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 15, 2012

When we booked the Red Roof Inn for $70 for a one night stay in Gainesville, we we somewhat skeptical. WHAT A VERY PLEASANT SURPRISE!! The front desk staff were very friendly, check-in a breeze. The room was clean, spacious, quiet, and nicely laid out. Only complaint: (too) small sample of shampoo provided. Loved the fact that pets stay FREE! Would DEFINITELY stay here again while visiting our UF student!
