2 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

reservations lost, dogs allowed on all floors, poop in the hallway, food terrible, supposed to have upgraded 'deluxe' room, was not deluxe. wife sent all food orders back, internet never worked, room phone didn't work. no one manning phones to respond to concerns. on other hand, staff and bartenders excellent. not the people but the facility. really poor.

Clean, comfortable, quiet. Courteous and somewhat inconspicuous staff. The only negative is that you have to drive for dining, but the hotel is extremely convenient for campus business. It is also a great location for that daily workout.

This is a beautiful hotel, conveniently located and very clean. Staff is very friendly, however, I find it unbelievable that in this day and age, they do not offer free wifi to their guests! Really?
There is a way around this, however, but no one on staff told us about it. A guest informed us that if we became a Hilton Honors member (free of charge) that we would get the free wifi. So, after 3 days without wifi we joined. A simple solution not offered to us by the front desk (after repeated complaints about paying for wifi). Other than that, we were very impressed with the hotel's cleanliness, amenities, room size, cleaning staff, a wonderful waitress at the restaurant (she brought our lunch out to us so we could eat by the pool). And, of course, Phyllis Pritz from Sports Marketing (the lobby lady who sold fun UF jewelry). All-in-all, a good stay that could have been excellent.

Room Tip: Join Hilton Honors to get free wifi. Silly, but they'll make you pay for access if you aren'...

If it wasn't for the monopoly that this Hilton has on conference rooms there is no way it makes sense to pay the crazy game weekend prices. Room was not cleaned, Sports Bar closed early (our group meets there every year on Friday & Saturday night), was charged in middle of stay and possibly for 2nd time (still need to confirm). On the positive side, staff was very nice but seemed clueless when confronted with issues. Will think long and hard about future stays even though I had been a regular.

We had the pleasure of staying here for two nights for a Florida football weekend. Room was clean. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was reasonably priced and convenient. Would stay here again. Enjoyed the Gator gear available for sale in the lobby.
