“So much more than you expect!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 20, 2012

We are students at Santa Fe and didn't visit the zoo for a long time b/c we didn't expect it to be much. We were mistaken. We were given a guided tour by one of the students of the program who took her time and answered all of our questions and listened patiently to all of my children's stories about their animal encounters (even a few of mine :) There are plenty of animals to be seen that are unique and fun. You will be pleasantly surprised how big this little place is.

“Local zoo”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 12, 2012

Santa Fe has a very nice zoo. It's conveniently located and they have a wide variety of animals from reptiles to apes to birds. The tour guide does a great job explaining the exhibits. Lots of area schools visit each year. Chidren learn about endangered species and rehabilitation of injurred animals that are at the zoo. Students who attend Santa Fe and are in the Zoo program and getting wonderful hands on experience.

“Small zoo but worth visiting nonetheless”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 4, 2012

Relatively small facility with a limited number of animals, but clearly well-maintained and nicely archived. Staff/volunteers are very warm and accommodating. Admission fee is reasonable and weekday visits provide a very relaxing and private touch to your visit. Truly a worthwhile experience not too far away from home since NOT ALL animals are caged. A good spot for taking a few photographs of wildlife. Makes one wish they had a regular influx of more animals (particularly big endangered cats) through time. I'll most probably visit the place again after a few months.

“Great value”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 29, 2012

This little zoo is a great value and a favorite place for my kids. We took some family that was visiting from the west coast, and everyone had a great time. Perfect for a short outing, and there is a nice playground for the kids as well.
