“Poor”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed February 20, 2012

The staff cannot speak English, which is bearable, but not when trying to order things on the side or without something on it. The margarita was horrible and what they considered Sangria was just sweet red wine, no fruit etc. My combination meal came with three items all on the same plate and sauces and just looked like a mess. The quesadillas my husband got were edible but not great.
They did a nice renovation on the actual restaurant I must say, since it was a Hooters before. The decor and atmosphere was nice. And that is the only good thing I can say about it.

“This place is going to the dogs”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed January 6, 2012

When we first went to El Norteno, we didn't know what to expect. What we discovered was some excellent Mexican food. It stayed this way for several years. The last couple times the food seemed to be getting worse and worse. Tonight was the last straw. The Fajitas had no taste at all, the chicken, beef, and shrimp were rubbery and the Guacamole was bitter and had no flavor. This was once the best Mexican in town but we'll be going to Mexico Lindo from now on.

“Never a wait”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 19, 2011

This is a local spot. For some reason though, the'rey never crowded. The food is good, not the best mexican in town but its close. Its next to the mall and off the interstate (I-75) so its convienent to get to. Their margaritas are huge and tasty.

“Pretty good ...”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 20, 2010

This is your average Mexican restaurant. Chips and salsa when you sit down, tacos, fajitas, blah blah blah. Pretty good food. The service is alright ... I'm not a picky eater though. Nothing too spectacular.
