“AWFUL!!!!!!!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed July 28, 2014

The door looked like the hinges were going to brake off, because they were so rusted! There was a 2 inch gap under the door, had to put a blanket on the floor to cover it too keep the heat out! The bed was like sleeping on spring mattress! Mold in the bath room ceiling! Cable was not clear, two lamps had no light bulbs in them, no pool ( IT WAS GREEN). The room dirty and stinks!!

Room Tip: Do not go. It is awful!!!!

Just needed a place to sleep for a few hours the night before our condo was ready and this place was a terrible disappointment! We booked online for $99 and expected it to be old but we were not prepared for what we saw upon opening the door to our room. We were approached by a hooker in the parking lot upon arrival...once inside the room it was even worse. Carpet was wet, black mold everywhere, towels were damp and stained. The bathroom was worse than an outhouse. Sheets were stained and found hairs in the bed and dirty undergarments left under the beds. Blood on the lampshades and the smell was disgusting. The pool looked like the inside of a septic system. Door did not lock, exposed electrical wiring to a/c unit. Run...don't walk away from this place. Should be condemned and current owners should be embarrassed of the condition. Honestly believe this place must rooms by the hour with no cleaning service in between.

Just recently stayed there. Booking guy said it was 3 stars with a pool and right on the beach. Should of read reviews. First we check in and it looks like the doors have been kicked in one to many times. Door didn't even lock. We secured it by putting tables and chairs in the way. We really did. The pool is slimy green. No maintence done on this place in years. Is by the water , a marina. It was a waste of money and to charge 140 for the night bc no other rooms are available is obsurd. Ashamed there is no codes or standards. Luckily was there only kne night checked out then went and got a tetanus shot just in case.
Don't stay there.
But a tent and sleep on the beach. Well worth is compared to the hotel.

On a trip to Florida, we didn't have a hotel to stay in. We also didn't book one either. We had been riding around for hours trying to find a place to stay. Then we came to Sea Breeze Inn. That was the biggest mistake of our lives. The room was a complete filth and it smelled too! The tub Had a big hole on the side of it. The refrigerator didn't work at all. The microwave was outrageous and don't let me forget the roof! It look like it was about to fall right in. We had to sprayed Lysol all around the room just for it to smell better. We finally decided that staying there just wasn't going to work. The man didn't get mad at all about giving our money back! Please don't go to that hotel....I advise you not to!!

We decided to stop half way through our trip and made the mistake of booking this dump. The first room, 109, had holes in the wall and looked like we were about to meet the people in room 209. The bathroom was just as bad. Then we moved to room 305. The room was a bit nicer minus the fake eyelashes and used soap decorating the floor. Needless to say you would be better off sleeping in the parking lot or a sewer. One up side, a complementary rotten watermelon left in the mini fridge that didn't work.

So, my boyfriend and I got a hotel room at the Seabreeze and everything was a disappointment. No refrigerator, microwave or icebox. The bathtub was filthy.. there were cig burns everywhere. They gave us only 2 towels and one of them had stains on them. There were cracks in the walls. The cords and machinery that went to the air condition were out and they had covered it WITH A BOX. The beds were extremely uncomfortable. We went down to the lobby to ask for a room with a fridge and she said there weren't anymore. We then asked for our money back and she said she couldn't refund it. Worst time of my life. Terrible place. Absolutely terrible. It was maybe worth $30.. $40 at most. not $77. Such a mistake.

At the last minute, my fiancee, my mother, and I decided that we'd like to spend a weekend in Florida. Due to waiting until the last minute, rooms were a little hard to come by (certainly with the 4th of July just around the corner). Imagine our excitement when we found that the Seabreeze Inn had some vacancies. I had read the poor reviews online, but I assumed it was just an old hotel that didn't have the bells and whistles of a lot of hotels. That was a huge mistake on my part.

This place needs to be condemned ASAP. There is not an ounce of hyperbole in any of the negative reviews. Everything is true. It's EXTREMELY filthy, creepy, and just all-around disgusting.

Let me describe some of the horrors. First of all, they have a cleaning lady that should've been fired long ago. After having to move to a different room due to the original being unlivable, we couldn't open the door of our new room. We then hear the cleaning lady coming our way, cursing other occupants due to them not wanting their room cleaned at that time. She opened the door for us, but not before obviously taking the time to eyeball every single one of our possessions. This wasn't just a case of paranoia, the lady made it quite obvious. When we went out on our first night of the three we were there, we took a picture of our bags and their placement. When we returned, it was obvious they had been moved/tampered with. This led to us having to take our bags with us every single time we went out so she wouldn't steal anything.

Speaking of the cleaning lady, she's also really terrible at her job. The rooms were complete filth. Due to us being locked in for three nights, we had to go to Publix on our first day and buy cleaning supplies so we could do her job for her. The floor was never clean. It was full of old food, cigarette butts, and pistachio shells. She also never cleaned the rooms. She would simply pull the sheets back and that was that. Our dirty towels were still there every time we went in. Speaking of towels, we never got more than one wash cloth. We went to the young lady at the desk and asked for some more. She told us she "was out" and "would call us when she got some in". We just returned home from our vacation and we've yet to receive our call about that wash cloths.

The most glaring thing was the fact that the door wouldn't lock. In an already sketchy hotel with a sketchy staff, there wasn't exactly an aura of safety. To get into our room, we discovered that all you had to do was push the door handle up instead of down. It would instantly open. We're unaware if the other rooms had this issue, but it wouldn't surprise me if they did. We had to push furniture up against the door every night before going to bed. Not an ideal way to spend a vacation.

There are also other glaring, but lesser problems. The wi-fi is awful, though that's not a huge deal. The nice picture of the pool you see on their website, however, is a complete lie. The pool area is closed and the water is dark green and filthy (like the rest of the hotel).

The location isn't great, either. There's not much to do in downtown Fort Walton and the nearest places to eat is an expensive seafood place next door, a Whattaburger, and a Captain D's. Stay in Destin.

I know this has been a long diatribe, but I honestly wouldn't want my worst enemy to make the mistake we made of staying at this dump. Destin and Fort Walton are absolutely beautiful, but knowing we had to come back to this filth was a wet blanket on the entire trip.

Shame on the owners and hotel staff for expecting their visitors to be okay with this. I honestly will celebrate when this place goes out of business.

Room Tip: Don't choose any of them. Avoid!
