We stayed Veterans Day weekend in the beachfront tower and loved the view! We were walk ins and got a really grat price. Interestingly, we were told by the telephone registration system that no ocean front rooms were available, and then walked in and got a room for much less than the price quoted for a garden room. The room was very comfortable and recently decorated, although as noted in other reviews the balcony furniture was shabby. It was definitely the off season in the area with many attractions closed, and the outdoor hot tub at the hotel was closed. We ate breakfast at the hotel once, and were disappointed.

We redeemed SPG points for a short weekend getaway. After previous reviews and the fact that the place looked empty when we arrived, I was not expecting much. We were greeted by a polite and friendly woman at the front desk. She welcomed us and immediately informed us that we were upgraded to a beachfront room due to our SPG status. She apologized that the wireless WIFI was a work-in-progress throughout the hotel but went out of her way to choose a room that she believed would give us good reception. It was a little slow but worked well enough for our needs.

The lobby and grounds were very clean and well-kept. Due to the off-season, some facilities were closed (pool bar, whirlpool, cabanas). We found our room to be up-to-date, clean and comfortable. Our balcony looked directly at the Gulf of Mexico. The room had a kitchenette which would have been very nice if we had stayed longer. The beds were comfortable and the water pressure fantastic! If we didn't have a 630a flight to catch the next morning, I would have enjoyed a much longer shower, using the pressure to massage my sore back. What more could we want for a short stay?

Another staff member at the front desk gave us good advice for local dining. We enjoyed a seafood meal overlooking the water at a nearby restaurant.

This is an older property and certainly not the most luxurious SPG property we have experienced. If you are a glass half full person like me, you'll appreciate it for what it is, a clean, comfortable hotel in a good location with friendly staff that do everything in their power to make your stay a good one. As frequent SPG customers, we would stay at the Four Points Ft. Walton Beach if we visit the area again.

Really disappointed. No outlets in the room. Had one long extension cord with one spare outlet. None near the nightstand. No wireless access in rooms; lobby only. And they don't provide a Ethernet cable. Bathroom faucet barly extended to the sink basin Water was either too hot or too cold. Slow draining sink. Very small bugs in sink. No safes in room. Breakfast is marginal at best


Both the front desk and waitresses at breakfast were friendly and providedmggod service. To be fair I didn't have time to raise my concerns with them. But there were so many issues. Not good for business travelers and probable not too great for vacation.

Very expensive relative to value(~$240), wi-fi almost totally inaccessible even when walking outside, fairly clean room, fair location (almost nothing within walking distance), great beach access (muddy water, but maybe due to hurricane about 10 days prior), complicated microwave (prefer a dial instead of tons of buttons requiring learning curve), never got the AC to work as designed but weather was good, one wall outlet plate missing (dangerous), shortage of electrical outlets, some wall switches never figured out what they operated, plenty of hot water, clean bed, pillows geared toward good sleeping not good photos, mid-size clean fridge, park-early-or-park-far, good staff. Not a bad place, but I will look elsewhere next time for price relative to value. Not what is expected from a Sheraton.
