“Had a fabulous time!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 9, 2011

I recently stayed 5 nights at this hotel, and it was great. Definitely will stay there again if in the area. All staff was cheerful and helpful. On arrival, found out they had upgraded me to beach front room for no additional charge, and the room and view were just awesome. Saw dolphins right from the room balcony one day - how much better could it get? The courtyard and pool/hot tub areas are beautifully landscaped. Its just a short walk (along the beach if you want) to several restaurants and shops, and a fishing pier that's a great place to walk, or just see what they're catching that day. Did not try the hotel restaurant, but really enjoyed the nearby Waffle House, and the Black Pearl. Having beach towels provided made for one less thing to pack.

Room Tip: Get a beach view room if your budget allows because it really is awesome. But none of the rooms are...

After looking at rooms at 2 other hotels we stopped at the Four Points and were immediately impressed! The beachfront room had just been remolded and everything clean and nice! Would definitely stay there again!

It was an anniversary trip. The atmosphere was pretty nice, but more of a family atmosphere than for couples. We had the suite on the ocean, which was fabulous. The overall room was nice. Just a very comfortable room and bed. The only somewhat negative is that it is an old hotel and you enter from the outside, but it was fine. The location is not near the main drag of Destin, which was what we wanted as we did not want to be in the middle of everything. One other thing that was a little negative was the A/C dripped on the balcony, but our balcony was large enough that it did not bother us. The breakfast was very nice too, but make sure it is included in the package otherwise it can be very pricey.

I went to Ft Walton/Destin FL. for the first time this October. My friend recommended I stay at the Four Points Sheraton in Ft. Walton. She had stayed there and enjoyed it. It was a decent stay. Unfortunately they had construction going on so it was a bit noisy. I think they should have offered a discount for that. They promise bottled water and it's true but only one bottle per day. And one day they closed the outside bar/restaurant early without notice so we had to go offsite to eat lunch. The room was nice size but on the last day no hot water in the shower; maybe because of the construciton :( Not sure if I would stay there again.

We spent 3 nights at Four Points and we couldn't be happier! The view was beautiful, the breakfast was great, and the staff was so friendly! The cooks, the maintenance, and the counter people always had a smile and were ready for any question. We stayed while they were doing some room renovations and we didn't even notice.
The pools were always clean, both of them (including the whirlpool).
If you're like me, it's the small details you look for. Every room had a recycle bucket, the fridge was larger than a normal mini-fridge so we had more room for snacks, and they give you tons of towels to begin with so you don't have to ask.
The only inconvience (which I could survive with, but some others may not) was the televison quality was a little crummy, with only a few channels (They give you a channel guide with almost 40 channels, but you are only able to access a few. The rest you have to pay for). Also, they provide you with an internet hookup for laptops, and it says "free wi-fi", but if you try to connect with a mobile device, like an ipod touch, it won't show up. So, they give you wi-fi, but only for laptops.

Room Tip: The rooms on the beach were fantastic. The only suggestion I have is if you want a connecting room w...

We stopped here on our way to central Fla and stayed 3 nites. Upon check in, Krystle handed us an envelope with note inside letting us know we had been upgraded to an ocean front unit. A nice surprise and one that will bring us back. The sunsets are indescribable and the sunrise is also visable which is a bonus. Lot's of neat places to visit in the area and the staff was very helpful with suggestions from pizza to supermarkets to steamed shrimp and beer places. I also found the local Elks lodge across the street.
The rooms are clean and the balcony was great. We are always happy with our Starwood choices.
A beautiful place and enjoyable stay thanks to Krystle, Ciera and Dani.
Thanks

Room Tip: After staying here, we will never check in at a beach hotel without asking for ocean view.

My husband and I spent 1 week at this lovely hotel. From beginning to end we found the service warm and inviting. We had a lovely room on the 6th floor facing the beach. The view was breathtakking it was so beautiful. Having a clean and comfortable room was very important to us. The beds were comfortable. Housekeeping staff excellent. We enjoyed the pool and the food. Waitresses were very friendly and accomodating. Talk about the beautiful grounds! Stunning. Although repairs were going on, it did not bother us at all. In fact, we found the workers quite friendly and got to chat with them. Everything was perfect. Our vacation at this hotel is one to treasure. This was a celebration of our 59th wedding anniversary. My husband was stationed at Eglin and we began our life living in Fort Walton Beach for several years. Our visit to this lovely memorable area was very enjoyable and being in a comfortable and beautiful hotel made this a most special vacation.
