Their ribs, pulled pork and brunswick stew are the best in the area....great chicken too....and that intoxicating smoke that spews from their oven chimney out to the streets literally stops traffic...Always a delicious meal and a great 'folksy' dining experience

I've lived if Fort Walton Beach for about 7 years now, I'm originally from Texas. Kinfolks is by far the closest to Texas BBQ you can get. This place has a great staff, always friendly and always helpful. The bar-b-q feast with a side of pickles and onions, is just like being back home in Texas, I love this place and would highly recommend it to all.

It's soo good that we hit it for lunch and dinner. Read about it hear and it lived up to it's name. Great food. Great price. The atmosphere is pretty close to a Bingo parlor but who needs that when you have good BBQ. Lunch was Pork/Ribs and dinner was all Ribs...They also brought a pitcher of Tea for each of us at the table. I just wish they sold Tshirts. I'd be wearing it today.

I tried Kinfolk's sliced beef BBQ as recommended by someone.
First of all, the BBQ beans and potato salad were great. However, The meat I got had a faint hint of smoke and wasn't actually "sliced", but cut into small square pieces and some of the pieces of meat were burnt and most were dry. I'd like to give it the benefit of the doubt and try other things on their menu on a second visit, but I'm not even sure about it. I really had high expectations when I went there because of the excellent reviews and now I'm a bit disappointed. I think we're better off BBQing in our backyards.
