We are staying in Fort Walton Beach for a few days. On our second night we decided to try Staff restaurant since it had good ratings. We went there on a weeknight at 8pm and it was virtually empty. The staff didnt seem too interested in getting customers. They werent rude or anything, but just not friendly or cheerful at all. It felt like they just wanted us to eat and leave.

We ordered mozeralla sticks which were horrible - lumpy and totally tasteless instead of nice and chewy. I had a T-bone steak (medium) which was very unevenly cooked and was too tough. There was so much tough, stringy fat in it that it was hard to cut through it. I only managed to eat half of it. NOT worth $37. My husband had broiled scallops - no flavor whatsoever. He didnt even finish it. And after we came home, he felt really sick and has diareah. The only thing good there was the salad and my daughter's chicken strips. But you can get chicken strips anywhere, even at a drive thru! Since dessert was included, we just took it to go. We tried it later and it was so bad we threw the box away. It was like the dessert you get at a cheap supermaket bakery.

We paid almost $100 for a very trashy, low quality meal. We have been to Cape Cod, Outer Banks NC, Isle of Palms SC and other beaches and never experienced SUCH bad food anywhere. I DONT recommend this horrible place to anyone! What a total waste of money!

We've had locals recommend this restaurant to us for years and last year we finally drove over to Ft Walton to try it.

The onion rings are really good, homemade! Large servings, don't fill up on salad. There's free dessert but it wasn't that great so I'd say don't save room for dessert!

This place is some sort of institution here in NW FL. Kind of expensive but I think it's been here forever - like since the Doolittle days. Kind of expensive, though.

We love eating at Staff's. Needs updating to the inside but why mess with something when it's not broke. The food is wonderful!
