“Desserts galore”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 22, 2014

Good food and desserts. This is the place I go for French macaroons. While the service is never warm or friendly by a waitress that has been there for years and years I still go back for the French macaroons. A change in wait staff would make this restaurant top notch. This restaurant has been around for more years than I can count which has to tell you something, they serve good food. A change in server attitude would make this a 5 star rating.

“3 Lunches this week--All fabulous!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 20, 2014

We are visiting the panhandle for a week and found this gem of a bakery/restaurant. Deli sandwiches outstanding, piled high with fresh meats and cheeses. Middle Eastern plate has most delicious hummus I have ever eaten, fresh tabbouleh, olives and pickles, stuffed grape leaves, tomatoes and feta. They let me exchange the potato salad for their marinated cabbage--delish! French bread to die for--absolutely scrumptious dipped into their soup. Lentil on Thursdays, Potato-Leek (chicken broth base, not milk:) on Friday--both rich and yummy! Service was great. Friendly server Sheri and owner Janice couldn't have been more helpful or gracious. Teens working the bakery counter were most knowledgeable about every bakery item--which was a sight to behold! The flourless cake is sinful, enough to split between the two of us and still take home 1/2 for a midnight treat! Prices are reasonable, portions generous. We stopped at other delis in town, measured against Bon Appetite, and none can compare. Highly recommend. Bon appetite!

“Best bread and pastries in the area”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 30, 2014

I have been stopping in to this bakery/restaurant for the last 15 years. I go every time I am in Destin or within about a 45 minute drive.

The breads and pastries are fantastic. We always take home loaves of bread to freeze and eat later.

The pastries are decadent. I don't know the names of the different desserts, but I haven't had a bad one yet.

“Love it”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2014

Simple menu but everything is perfect. All vegetables were fresh, croissants were amazing. Great selection of sweets to go with a hot coffee or tea.
Overall this cafe is inexpensive and has a wonderful service. My wife and I will keep coming back for more.

“1st But Not Last Visit”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 3, 2014

Very nice server; lunch entree was really good (humus with veggies & pita bread) but the desserts...super fantastic! Bought 3 (yes 3) to take home for later...dense chocolate cake, lemon tart, and small bag of cookies. The dense chocolate cake was by far my favorite. My two friends eat here often; I will too, now that I finally tried it!
