“Great View”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 26, 2012

We usually don't go there to eat. The food is OK but not something you would hurry back to eat again. The beautiful view and the friendly staff make up for it though.

“Amazing view, great food, good prices”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 2, 2012

It's 30 miles away from home, but it really is worth the trip for Sunday brunch.
For the price of a basic steak anywhere you get unlimited sparkling wine (please don't call it Champagne!), a plentiful buffet with salads, heirloom tomatoes and mozarella, oysters, baked salmon, smoked salmon (Delicious) with bagels and cream cheese, shrimps, then prime ribs, omelette station, a very nice chicken in a mango crust, fish and other entrees, fruits, chocolate mousse and a veriety of cakes.. Everything is really good and the all experience is very pleasurable.
We went again today, labor day week-end, and it was perfect again. Then we enjoyed a walk aong the Fort Pierce Inlet

“Good Food and View, but on the expensive side”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 28, 2012

Right on the water, you can't beat the view. The food was good as well. However we found this a little on the expensive side, but did enjoy it.

“Location is great; service - not so much.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 24, 2012

I've been twice in the last month and both times, we had to wait around for someone to seat us. The first time, the host was outside smoking and someone had to go get him. I have no idea where he was the second time. The servers weren't much better BUT....the view is awesome overlooking the water and they have a great sunset menu that comes with a salad, entree, and a glass of house red or white wine for only $14. I liked their conch fritters and their bacon-wrapped scallops were to die for (not on the sunset menu...those were appetizers). I had the wasabi tuna both times I went. The first time was soooo good, I couldn't bring myself to try anything else and the second time it was even BETTER! I like my tuna just barely seared on the outside and completely rare on the inside and both times it was prepared perfectly. The second time it was just a nice cut of tuna which is surprising because the first visit's cut was wonderful! Despite the slow service, I'm sure we'll go back as the view and food are worth it.

“Great view and good food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 22, 2012

Stumbled across Mangrove Mattie's by accident...Road construction would make you reconsider trying to figure out how to get there...Took my daughter and two nieces there and enjoyed a very good lunch. My Grouper sandwhich was excellent and the girls all enjoyed their lunch. Our waiter was very friendly and worked hard to get us anything we needed and still had time to tell use somethign about the area.

After lunch we followed the path along the river to the ocean jetty (about a 10-15 minute walk) and let the girls take their shoes off and walk along the surf. This part of Florida has very large and uncrowded beaches.
