I actually found this place by accident. I was at a nearby antique mall and had to use the facilities but the anitque mall's was out of order. So, the gal working there told me to walk south past the boat shop and into Norris' BBQ and they would gladly let me use their facilities.
When I walked In I noticed it was filled with locals having lunch and talking it up with the female bartender. I told her that I just wanted to use the ladies room, but I promised that I would come back another time for lunch as I had already eaten. She said that would be fine and I noticed that the restrooms were clean and tidy.
So about two weeks later, I came back for lunch with one of those entertainment book coupons from my condo rental (BOGO) and she (the same bartender) said she would be happy to take of half of my bill. (She did remember me from my previous pitstop).
Well, the service was friendly, fast and the food delicious. The ribs were tender and sweet but not spicy or bland. The side of baked beans were the best I've eaten in a long time. The fries were good, too, though. Many people enjoyed Margaritas (at lunch?) and apparently they are known for them. To me they are known for their fine hospitality, superb ribs, baked beans, fries and extremely warm hospitality.
I don't understand the "has been BBQ" comment as my experience "has been" wonderful!
at Norris' BBQ!
