“Great view”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 25, 2013

This was our first time at this bar and grill. Was looking for a place to have a cocktail and a snack outside on a beautiful Florida day. The place was right on the money. Sat upstairs over looking the inlet. The drinks were good as was the alligator bites. Very tasty. The band was playing and it was a perfect. Will definately keep on my lists of places to revisit often.

“Relaxing water view”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 20, 2013

We have been to On the Edge many times for cocktails and/or a relaxing meal. The restaurant is located on the Fort Pierce Inlet so there is boat traffic (but not too much) to make it interesting. You can also see dolphins quite often which is always a plus. During the International Billfish Tournament in January we always make it a point to be there in the late afternoons when the boats come in with their flags flying to indicate how many fish they caught and released. Everyone gets into counting the flags and it's a lot of fun.
In addition to being a great location, the food is excellent. The seafood is local and the vegetables are fresh - not your usual frozen "vegetable medley". I would highly recommend the grilled caesar salad and the mussels. If you like really good food, a relaxing atmosphere and being on the water, this is the place!

“Will miss this place over the summer”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 18, 2013

We have come to love this place. The views are spectacular and if you come with reasonable expectations and are not in a hurry you will have a great time and enjoy some very good food. We love the fried shrimp - we have not had any better anywhere else. The clam chowder is very good and appears to be home made - not out of a can. I had the shrimp tacos yesterday and loved them. The staffing is sometimes on the light side - but the staff has been very friendly and tries very hard to take care of everyone. For those of you expecting great service - relax and try the margarita. We will get one more visit in before we head back to Pittsburgh next week.

“Nice View Average Food”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 14, 2013

This restaurant has very nice view of the water, the seating consist of upstairs in the Tiki bar with a few tables and downstairs outside sandy patio like setting. They have a pavilion for the band with surrounding tables, also a hut that is a overflow for the bar service.
As to the food, it is just plain bar food, I don't understand why they get a good review for the food, not much to choose, I ordered the hamburger and my wife the crab cake sandwich. My hamburger came with a choice of side dish and I tried the Cajun fries and they where good just the right amount of seasoning, the hamburger was little bit overcooked, it came with TLO, for $11, my wife sandwich did not look that impressive, the crab cake was more like canned crab consistency, placed on a dab mayo and pickle, too much bread for the size of crab cake, the side dish was coleslaw, not your usual, it was very crisp, with some light oil dressing and cilantro, to me it needed either something sweet or lime, I would choose the lime because of the cilantro. $15 was on the high side.
The service was very good, the happy hour beer was a good price for 16 oz serving, nicely chilled, this place has some awesome sunsets.
