The DiamondHead Beach Resort is a nice, three-star hotel. The rooms are nothing fancy, but are fine for a short stay. They do have a great screened-in balcony with plenty of furniture. The small kitchenette was useful for the fridge. There are ice machines on every other floor, so we didn't have one on our floor and the one above us was broken. We stayed in a handicapped room, but I am unsure of how someone in a wheelchair would have navigated the bathroom/bedroom very well as it was a bit cramped. The bathroom was nothing fancy, but there was plenty of hot water with Bath and Body Works toiletries. The housekeeping staff was very friendly, but we had to ask them to change the sheets. Also, when we requested an internet cord because the wireless was not working, they made us go to the front desk to pick it up. Also, it appears as if you are able to check out on the TV, but the woman at the front desk says this is "only a tease" and you can't really check out there. The pool was very nice and they do provide towels. Great access to the beach from just ouside the bar. The food and drinks at the bar were very good, but they were a little pricey. They only asked me once if we wanted to see the new suites they had at the vacation club, and when I declined, they did not try to push further, which was very nice. The bell staff was very friedly and helpful, but when we spoke to some people at the front desk for directions to things outside of Ft Myers they weren't as willing to provide directions, and they wanted us to do alternative things closer to the hotel.
