“Great return visit”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 9, 2014

This was my second year to spend 2 weeks at this wonderful place with three friends. Check-in was amazingly simple, especially since our arrival had been delayed by two days. All staff members that we encountered were friendly, polite, and willing to be of any assistance.
The rooms are clean and spacious and provide everything that's needed for a pleasant visit. The views from the balconies are amazing and offer great sunsets.
The pool is lovely, warm and clean, and the beach is a real delight.
Two of the special little extras that we particularly enjoyed are the fresh coffee provided in the lobby each morning and the newspaper delivered to our door daily.
We loved our time spent in this condo and look forward to returning again next year.

Amazing room!! The location is on the quieter part of the beach but it is beautiful. Dining was within walking distance. The hotel does not have a restaurant. The view was great and the beach is wonderful, little farther walk to get to the water but worth it.

Dear Gretchen M,
Thank you very much for staying with us at Pointe Estero Beach Resort. I'm happy to hear you enjoyed your spacious room and the soft sand of Fort Myers Beach. Yes, we are only a short walk walk from Santini Plaza and the many restaurants located there. Thank you again and we hope to see you back soon.

We stayed here for 3 nights in February to escape the freezing temperatures. We were not disappointed. Check in was super easy and the young lady who works in the evening is very helpful. Since we didn't arrive until 7pm our room had been given away so she was kind enough to upgrade us to make up for the mistake. We stayed in a one bedroom beach front room on the 15th floor... The views were stunning. We spent almost the entire time on the screened in balcony. We loved that we could also leave the sliding door open at night and hear the ocean without the fear of bugs coming in. The kitchen was adequately stocked and the trial size laundry detergent, dryer sheets, and liquid dish soap were greatly appreciated. One tip... if you want to enjoy drinks/food on the beach walk south about 200 yards to Pinchers Crab Shack (behind Holiday Inn). Not the best food ever but a nice place to enjoy a beverage on the beach within walking distance of Pointe Estero.
The one thing I would want the hotel to improve before our next stay is the quality of the blanket on the bed. It was a weird useless silky thing that slid off the bed and offered no comfort or warmth.

Dear TravelingHokie7,
Thank you very much for choosing to stay with us at Pointe Estero Beach Resort. I'm very pleased to hear you had a great experience and enjoyed your 15th floor views. You're right, nothing beats leaving the balcony door open and falling asleep to the sound of the waves! I'm glad you found the suite to be well equipped, spacious, and comfortable. Also thank you for your feedback on the bedding, I will be looking to that. Thank you again and we do hope to see you back in the future.

Sincerely,

Wow! All those years of traveling to Bahamas and Aruba...it was all right here in Florida!!!! My family and I stayed Feb 17-21, 2014. It wasn't long enough. We had a third floor right side beachfront two bedroom. Outside our living room and master bedroom was the most beautiful palm trees and view of ocean. What a way to wake up! The beach had white powder soft sand that was cool to touch even at 83 degrees. Its a big beach so plenty of room to sun without getting sand kicked on you. The water was cool, clear enough to see your feet and schools of little fish swimming around. Staff was perfect in helping with accommodations. Pool was clean. Tennis court fun. You can rent chairs or cabana from right on the beach and make it your own Corona commercial!!!!! I have kids, boys 16 & 10. We rented jet skis from right on the beach. They took walks down the beach, picked shells, dug huge holes till they reached water. Hub and I didn't hear one complaint. Would recommend eating at Nervous Nellies in town. I wouldn't waste $ on little bottles of sand. I brought home about two liters of it in a bottle. Made my own for keepsakes. Why pay for what's free! The shells along the beach were so perfect. Parking in town is about $10. Trolley is cheap. Would definitely stay here again. Maybe I'll just move there...yes...its that nice! Almost forgot.....didn't use our A/C at all. The nights were so beautiful we left patio doors open. No bugs either! Don't expect to see photos.....I'm keeping that slice of heaven to myself. Happy Traveling!!!!!

Room Tip: I love views with the palm trees and ocean in one picture frame....third floor right side is best in...

This was our second year here and it was nice but not great. We originally chose the property for the location. When we checked in the first thing they told us was about all the up grades that had been made new mattress, patio furniture and tv. We get the two bedroom suite beach front and the view is great and the furnishings are ok. The washer and dryer worked but they shake and sound like are going to take off. The kitchen is about the same, things you need but the quality is not the best so don't try to cook anything to complicated the pans are low quality and the exhaust fan is useless. The furnishings in general are tired and used up and the tv's are old not hd so if you want to watch news in morning or something after dark you will need to tolerate fuzzy poor quality. Then when we went to leave my wife's work bag was soaked half way up as there was a water leak in
the master closet. All that being said the place is very clean (don't forget the maids tip envelope near the phone which I find extremely tacky and that management would allow at the current rates, I would think they could pay them a little more so they didn't have to hit up the guests ) pool is nice shopping and good restaurants are with in walking distance and its the best section of beach in Ft. Myers. I don't feel I expect to much as we used to stay in the panhandle and moved south for warmer temps when we had to move our winter break up a month earlier, we paid less for a much nicer condo in a gated community. At near $400 a night and non negotiable rates we are also looking for a new non sun stream property.

Pointe Estero was well maintained, quiet, comfortable, well equipped, and located right on the Gulf coast beach. The pool and hot tub were clean and comfortable with needed shade areas to keep from sunburn. The grill and picnic area was well kept and easily accessible. Nice tennis court and the beach was beautiful. The unit furnishings were up to date and comfortable, nothing missing. Love the washer & dryer in the unit, can't stand taking home dirty laundry in the suitcase. Can't say enough and can't wait for our next visit. I don't believe that you could be disappointed. We highly recommend Pointe Estero.

Room Tip: High Gulf view units are great! They make your vacation enjoyable.

We stayed in a 1 bedroom unit that had views of both the ocean and the bay to the west; the location was spectacular, our unit was immaculate and the kitchen was very well outfitted. I am familiar with rental properties that carry a minimum of china and flatware; you could have baked with what this kitchen was equipped with. Patio furniture and downstairs grill alllowed us to have a delightful sunset dinner for six with hamburgers fresh off the grill, Location right on the beach is wonderful, not at all busy, and walking distance from the property are shops and eateries. While not the cheapest stay possible in that area, the quality of the unit and the staff made the price worthwhile to us.

Room Tip: Can only go by our unit which was a wrap-around on the 12th floor with a panoramic view - east to no...
