“Fantastic Condo”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 14, 2013

This was a wonderful resort. It was on the quite part of Ft. Myers beach and the resort is right on the beach. All rooms have a beach view. The condo was spacious, had a full size well stocked kitchen, living room area, two bedrooms. Very clean and had everything that you could posibly need. Staff was extrememly pleasant and helpful. Within walking distance of movie theaters, shopping center with restaurants. Would definately stay at this resort again.

Room Tip: We were on the 11th floor - probably woluld want to be at least on the 5th floor for good views.

We took a chance on short notice to call Point Estero for a short weekend stay. As SW Florida residents, we have enjoyed staying at this property several times. The staff are friendly and accomodating, and the rooms are spacious and clean. You do need a car if you want to stock up on food and supplies. I agree with other reviewers that the views are better on the higher floors. The wrap around balconies are amazing. We grilled out for dinner and met some friendly travelers who were enjoying their stay as well. Pointe Estero never disappoints.

My family recently took up several rooms for a wedding weekend at Pointe Estero Resort in October. We took advantage of a SniqueAway sale and had a fantastic rate. Everyone had one of the two-bedroom apartments.

Pointe Estero was exactly what we were looking for given our needs for the weekend. This is definitely not a resort with many full-service amenities. If you are looking for a resort experience, I recommend you look elsewhere. If you prefer to be on your own as if you're coming back to your own place, Pointe Estero is for you.

The resort is right on the beach and there's plenty of it! A fars stretch to the ocean. There's also a pool that is a decent size.

The apartments are very spacious, we were able to have about 15 -20 people in the apartment for a family breakfast. Bedrooms and bathrooms were of a good size and the kitchen was sufficient. You could cook anything you needed to on a vacation.

Yes, the decor is slightly dated but isn't Fort Myers a little dated altogether? We didn't mind it, nothing seemed or felt old.

The only strange, and actually funny thing is the bath shower in the main guest room. It's basically an open, large whirlpool tub with mirrored walls across from the sinks and other mirrors. The shower head juts out of the wall over the big whirltub. It's slightly awkward and hyterical to shower in big empty tub surrounded by mirrors.

Pointe Estero Beach Resort is in a perfect location. Ft. Meyers Airport is less than an hour away. There is easy access to and from the south end of the island, and there are a number of nice shops, restaurants and other amenities within a short walking distance.

After staying at one of this company's other resorts at the north end of Estero Island two years ago, we chose to try this one, further south near Lovers Key. We were very happy to find the same quality accommodations but at the quieter end of the island. We could walk to everything and enjoyed the pristine white sandy beach, just footsteps away. Clean, well designed and great views.

Just spent a long weekend here with my mother. We purchased as part of a package deal thorugh Expedia, so didn't have any knowledge of the hotel. We reserved a gulf-view room that was wonderful. The Gulf front condos are about 200 sq ft larger and have front and side balconies. We were on the south (left as you're facing the beach) of the building on the 11th floor (there are 16) and had great views of the beach and the Gulf, as well as wonderful views of the Bay behind us. The layout was perfect, with 2 full baths, each room had access to the screened in balcony, and the kitchen/dining/living room was very spacious - and included a desk if either of us had felt the need to try to get work done. Each room had a TV and the the one in the family room was a flat screen 42" with a working DVD player. DVDs can be rented from the front desk for $5/day and they will also provide you with an internet router for your room should you need one (I didn't need one, so I didn't ask about the cost, but it sounded as if there was no additional cost for the router.)

Pointe Estero is on the quiet end of Fort Myers Beach, for which we were very happy as we realized it was spring break once we got there. The north end of the island was very crowded and much noiser with a lot of party goers. Of course, being on the south end means that you also will likely need a car, as there are not a lot of restaurants or grocery stores within an easy walking distance. There are no restaurants on premises, as each condo has a fully stocked kitchen with the expectation that most people will bring their food in and do a lot of their own cooking.

The beach is wide and flat with great sand for walking and running. The waves are almost non-existent and there is no quick drop off, which makes it great for people less mobile or comfortable being in the surf. A private concession group manages all of the beach chairs on the beach, and a double chaise lounge with a small table space and sun shade costs $20 per day to rent; however, you are certainly free to bring your own chair and umbrellas and find a great spot on the beach. There is a vendor that seems to sell some food and drinks on the beach, and there is a jet ski/paddle board/hobie/parasailing rental on the beach as well. There is no bar service on the beach. The pool at the hotel looks very nice and there is also a tennis court.

Check in was easy, but there is no one there to assist with luggage. Parking is free and seems to be plentiful. The rooms could use just a bit of updating (the "builder grade" oak cabinets could stand to be refinished, for example), but my mom and I both thought everything was really nice and clean with very comfortable beds.

In summary, we would most definitely go back.

Room Tip: Gulf view rooms are a great value. Of course, the higher the better. The south side of the buildin...

Stayed in Penthouse suite for 6 days, 16/2-23/2 2013 It was excellent, lived up to all expectations. Marvelous view and the hotel is right on the beach. We (2 adults 2 children) had a fantastic time and can absolute recommend Pointe Estero Beach Resort. Cant say anything bad about it.
