“Amazing stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 9, 2009

I booked this resort after reading all the reviews on the site. The stay was even more amazing than we had expected. The resort is CLEAN. The rooms are spacious. We had a two bedroom suite and it was perfect for us. The pool was literally 2 steps away and beach 10 steps away. The beach towels were in abundant supply by the hotel, the complimentary breakfast though cold only has enough choices. The staff was very friendly. Lot of activities for kids to do like kayakking, collecting shells or just relaxing in the pool or on the beach. We went to near by Publix super market to buy groceries and saved money by cooking one meal.

Would recommend the resort for anyone.

We stayed 2 nights here on 22nd and 23rd June. On arrival we noticed the whole carpark was fully paved, this made the area very tidy and clean looking and there were always lots of spaces.Checking in was done very quickly and the staff were very polite and helpful. The evelator was right by check in, which i thought was very sensible. The room doors are all on an outside walkway with all balconies having sea views. We had two regular double beds, a kitchen area with granite worktops and a seating area. Also a flat screen TV and a very large bathroom. The balcony had a great view of the pool and the beach. We were on the second floor. The hotel had a 2 PCs with free internet access in the lobby area. The breakfast was a normal continental style breakfast, fruit, cereal, toast with spreads and donuts from Dunkin Donuts fresh every morning as well as juice, coffee and tea.The hotel was very close to the pier, Time Square and a few restaurants. There is also a 7eleven a 2 minute walk away. I probably expected more from Time Square but everything seem to close very early while other restaurants and bars near the bridge stayed open alot later.
While we were there it seemed to be very quiet, this may have something to do with the credit crunch, none of the restaurants or the beach got busy.If you want a relaxing break at a great hotel and great beach this is the place for you.If we were to return we would try a weekend to see if it gets busier rather than a Monday and Tuesday. But we still enjoyed our stay.
Enjoy the pics.

I have been coming to the Best Western Beach Resort for 15 years. This hotel has always been my favorite on the beach. From the cleanliness of the rooms and the grounds to the service of the staff.

This year I come for my yearly vacation stay at the hotel and to my amazement the hotel has been revamped! The parking lot has beautiful brick pavers. When you walk into the hotel it is like being at the Taj Mahal. No seriously... the place is gorgeous! The hotel now has a big sitting area for drinking your morning coffee and reading the paper and is decorated BEAUTIFULLY! You can sit in the chairs facing out to the ocean. Beautiful View! They also have a nice cold breakfest bar with yummy fresh Dunkin Donuts served everyday!

The rooms look fabulous! They have nice dark wood furniture and crisp white linens. It also have a very nice size flat screen tv in the room also. I love the fact they have a cute little kitchenette with granite countertops. How nice!

The landscaping is beautiful and the grass they have is lush and green. The beach is my favorite spot to be. It is a private beach for the Best Western guests only which is very nice. They have cabanas out on the beach also. I love renting them :) The pool area is nice as always, they have expanded the deck area a little also.

Last but not least the staff are amazing people! They treat you like family from the moment you walk in the doors. Mili at the front desk was personable, wonderful and helpful. We just love her. The cleaning/maintence staff are equally friendly.

This hotel is an A+++ in our eyes. We love coming here and cant wait to come back again the following year!

We just returned from 5 nights at The Best Western. What a great value right on the Gulf of Mexico! The rooms all faced the gulf and were plenty spacious with a great kitchenette. The hotel and grounds were immaculate and the free breakfast was an added bonus. The pool is very nice with plenty of lounges chairs. We walked the beach looking at all the other hotels and The Best Western by far had the nicest beachfront. The staff was friendly and helped with ideas for good restaurants in the area (and there are many!) Times Square is within walking distance and is a great place to shop, grab a bite to eat and people watch! I would not hesitate to return this hotel if we find ourselves back in Fort Myers Beach!

This hotel was very nice. Although the rooms were small, they were beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Full kitchen with granite countertops and fully equipped was definitely a plus. Staff was polite and helpful. Grounds were beautiful and well kept. Pool was nice and had plenty of chairs. The ocean was so close that it was just steps away from the hotel. Gas grill for visitors was a nice extra. Several nice restaurants within walking distance. A very nice place, and other guests were nice as well.

A fantastic hotel with a perfect location for travellers who want an affordable, amazing getaway. The neighborhood looks a little run down but the hotel is extremely well maintained, everything is new and the lawns and property are manicured daily. Every room has an amazing view of the beach. The pool is great, the breakfast is complimentary and sufficient. Some nice family owned places to eat nearby (definitely check out Citroli's) and some nice bars on the beach.

Have to agree with all the positive reviews here on TA.

We stayed here for a week early June and had a fantastic time. Walking along the beach each morning we realised we had made a great choice in staying at BW.

Rooms were a great size for the 2 of us, Fantastic views from the balcony's, although i would recommend that you request a room on the 3rd floor or higher as any lower you could be almost level with the pool area or even worse behind the raised area of the pool area.

24hr coffee/tea, good breakfast in the mornings free newspaper and wifi in each room.

Also make sure you say hello to "coco" hes usually in his cage in the morning or in the tikki hut outside.

I only have one complaint about the BW and that is that on a sunday afternoon at 6oclock you dont expect to be asked to leave the pool area so that they can pressure wash the area, which must have taken him 1.5hrs to do a small area and was so loud that you couldnt even sit on the balcony.

However that said we would still return and would recommend it to friends and family.
