Based upon the reviews I had read at TripAdvisor, I booked a three night stay at the BestWestern Beachfront Hotel in Fort Myers, FL during the first week of February for me and my boyfriend. We loved it! As described, the hotel was spotlessly clean (the tile floors were a real plus), the decor was nice, and we had more than adequate space to store our clothes. The kitchenette, complete with dishes, silverware, microwave, stove top and fridge was a real bonus. And we loved the beachfront balcony (all rooms have them). The hotel was ideally situated as well for a stroll down the beach to the downtown where one could take in the sights and restaurants but it was far enough away to take in the wonderful sounds of the surf at night lulling you to sleep without fear of competing with a nearby hotel/club. We had requested a non-smoking room on the 5th floor which we did get. Their grounds were neatly kept, the pool was great (they provided pool towels too). And the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The guests were friendly as well as we learned that many folks come annually for their vacations with friends and families. The hotel had a continental breakfast with danish/muffins, coffee/tea and fruit. My only slight complaint is that I wish they had stocked some yogurt and/or bagels with light cream cheese to provide a more healthy alternative. And the towels were a bit thin. But really these are minor concerns compared to the overall good service and location of the place. We would certainly go back and stay again and would highly recommend it to others.
