“Great location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 6, 2013 via mobile

This place is on the beach side, about 3 miles from the bridge, just far enough to be away from the busy part of the beach and traffic. About a block down is the beach walkway, it is about another 3 block walk until you hit water. Easy, level walk and the sand is pretty packed. They will lend you chairs and towels to take with you, even if you want to take them to another beach! Very friendly front staff, never ran into others. Neighborhood is good, felt very safe. Our room was on the 2nd floor and was really nice. They had been updating recently and is looking good. Mini fridge, micro, coffee pot, small stove and sink all in the room. 32" tv, comfy beds and pillows, cold ac, all you need! Bathroom kinda tight but worked fine for us. We saw other guests, but never heard a lot of noise. Checking in late?, just call and they will leave the keys, check in whenever you wake up, very friendly. We will stay again !

Look, it's not a large hotel group and if you look for party place you should look somewhere else.
This is The Best and The Warmest motel we have been at. Relaxed and clean.
Here is our story. We are the owners of Jakes Lounge/Speakeasy in Hallandale, Fl. Having a very crazy nights we felt burned out and we were in need of peace and quite for a change. Took a ride from Miami to Ft Myers on Mon. To get away. Staying in Corp. owned Hotels is not an option for us. We want to be low key for a change. We found this place and fell in love with it. We stay in all 5 star hotels around the world but nothing beats the warmth of small mom and pop place. We got an outdated room(which the owner is going to remodel) but having said that who in the world needs a 5 star hotel on the beach?????? PEOPLE you go to the beach to RELAX. Do so!!!!! Don't bring your fake crap to great place like this. Bring your loved one and money. That is it. This place has beach towels, beach chairs and so on. Great mom and pop dinner across the street that has been there for 25 years. SUPPORT Local people Not some corp. hotel with overblown egos and stuff you do not need. All those haters that posted low reviews here all wear fake PRADA or LV stuff (I own a club I know this). Anyways this is GREAT place to be and we will be back on weekly bases as time permits. Thanks to all personnel in Flamingo

The Flamingo Inn is located just past most of the commotion of the Ft. Myers beach strip, while being close enough to everything for conveniance. The Inn is located on a quiet side street that leads directly to the nicest stretch of Ft. Myers Beach; maybe a one minute walk to the sand! For the price and location, this place is really the best deal around. The accomodations are clean and simple, some rooms are a little small because of the vintage design of the building, but overall very comfortable. I would recommend the Flamingo Inn to anyone looking for some Ft. Myers Beach charm. We've stayed here twice for a couple of nights each time, while traveling around the Gulf Coast. After our last stay one of us realized we left a wrist watch in the hotel's bed after we were half way across the state. We called and asked if they would look for it and get back to us, which they did, right away! Mailed it back safe and sound. How's that for this day and age?

We paid under $100 a night for 3 nights during the 4th July weekend booked the day before. Basic, small and very clean. Seems to have been redone, refurnished. One block from beach, about 5 minutes by trolley to "town" .
Management was very nice, towels and chairs provided by honor system and super comfortable bed and pillows. Had a great time!

Room Tip: Wouldn't recommend efficiency for families, very small .

Very simple, it's true. But if you need just a place to stay near the beach, plus kitchenette and nothing more to pay for, this is your choise. The room size is adequate to have two beds, a mini-kitchen and the diner table, there is enough space for it. Yes, some furniture is a bit old but it looks okay. The shower room is very small. The beach is great, with lots of seagulls and pelicans, it's a nice place to meet the sunset. 7-eleven is just 3 mins walk. The area is quiet, no noise, no big stores, no activities.
