They have remodeled since we were here in March 2005 (can't figure out how to update my previous review). I didn't think it was too dark before, but it is brighter and warmer feeling now...new colors, new drapes, ets. Prices are average still.
We ate here in early September. It was low season so it wasn't crowded at all. The decrease in patrons might be why they only had one waitor on that night. He did very well with checking on us and keeping our drinks refilled, but it took forever for our food to come. He was very apologetic about this. He was also nice enough to bring out our children's orders (ages 2 and 1) so that they didn't get fussy.
Once our food did arrive, it was very good. Portions were large...the two ladies had enough left over for another full meal, and the two men (big eaters) even felt pleasantly full when they were done. Two of us had crunchy fried grouper and one had fried coconut shrimp, none of it tasted greasy at all.
If you aren't in a hurry this is worth the wait.
