“Loved it!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 25, 2011

We happened across this place and wandered in. We were pleasantly surprised by the view of the water. Our server was very friendly and recommended the gator tail - which was delicious! We hung out for quite awhile listening to the acoustic guitar player and enjoying the atmosphere. We would definitely recommend and go back.

“Food was delicious and the service was excellent!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 29, 2010

We really lucked up finding this restaurant. The seafood was delicious inexpensive, and our service was excellent. I wish I could remember our servers name so you could request her section. It was a very relaxing dinner sitting out on the deck, and I cheerfully recommend this restaurant.

“Meh. Go elsewhere...Go quickly...”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed May 31, 2010

Dinner here on a Friday night. The establishment was dark and mold-smelly upon entering and looked like it had not been scrubbed clean or renovated in years. We were seated quickly at an inside table and given sticky menus with a few torn edges and a wine list. One ordered fried flounder with french fries and coleslaw. The fish was overcooked, fries were like fast-food (not homemade) and coleslaw was runny. Did I mention the bread was cold and stale? Dining partner #2 had shrimp scampi which was served with a barely edible heavy red sauce with no distinction. It could have come out of a generic jar. I ordered stuffed shrimp. Before ordering I asked if they were local and unfrozen and told "yes" on both accounts. The shrimp arrived not stuffed with crab, but with a "seafood mixture" which upon closer examination contained bread and surimi. To add insult to injury, the shrimp were covered with a gloppy melted italian cheese. Get a new chef, rip up, renovate and CLEAN! Until then, walk on by...

“Excellent large lobster for $25 !!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 7, 2010

I ate at Matanzas restaurant 3 times last week, and twice for lobster. Whoever heard of lobster for $25? And it was a decent size! Salad, dinner rolls, salad dressing, and the entrees were superior. And the setting was the boat harbor and the bay..beautiful.

“A Nice Surprise”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 22, 2010

This was recommended by our Captain as one of his local favorites.

We enjoyed the food, atmosphere and service.

We had the Cab Cakes, Ruben Sandwich, Clam Chowder and Key Lime pie. All were very good.
