Located on the backside of Estero Island facing the fishing fleet and moored boats, Matanzas is a medium size restaurant specializing in local seafood recipes and laid back atmosphere. Most nights you can sit outsize and watch the boats coming in and out, or see dolphins swimming & feeding.
If you have to wait for a table there is a bar and deck upstairs with a great view and usually good live music - not too loud.
Grouper, ahi, crabs, clams, and most other seafood is on the menu with interesting twists from the chefs. Everything is good.
A party of four can have full meals with appetizers, salads and drinks for $125.
