Good times with a fun, knowledgeable bartender. He asked lots of questions to get to know our tastes and then started a trail of beer this vs that kinda action....chance try some different stuff

“Go for the beer. No much else unless you like sushi”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 3, 2014

Outstanding beer selection and the bartender is a lover of beer. Has a great knowledge and selection of beer. If you need to find a new beer go here.

Not sure about the food. It looked like standard prepared bar food of wings and burgers. If they would just do fresh shrimp and gator tail bites they might have something.

“Guy behind the bar knew his beer”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 7, 2014

Stopped here the other day to get out of the rain and have a beer. They have a large selection of beer on tap or in bottles.

I mentioned a brewer that I like, Three Floyds, and the guy behind the bar knew it right away, he also knew that it was only local to Indiana and Illinois (which I didn't know). He offered a solid alternative.

It's not really a "party bar", at least not at 1pm on a Wed, but they do have plenty of beer.

“Has potential”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed February 9, 2014

I hate to give such a low rating, but I was disappointed. They had lots of beers on tap and lots more bottled choices, but the place was nearly empty. As for food, the website mentions tapas and an American menu, but we were told they only serve sushi. Now I like sushi, but not when I am sampling multiple tap brews!!! No skins, no wings, no rings. Odd, but I'm sure it stems from the fact that the bar is located in a sushi restaurant. In fact, had I not read about the bar here on Tripadvisor, I wouldn't have even known it was there. Not readily visible from the street, even. The potential for greatness is there, but the owners really need to consider allowing these two venues to stand on their own with their own identities.
