The best kept secret in the shadow of the bridge! Lots of room and great food. Lunchtime is fabulous - lower prices on food and drink. Live music at night is sure to fill up the parking lot.

“Great food overlooking a waterfront view”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 21, 2013 via mobile

We enjoyed the best food we've had all week this evening. It was a nicely designed restaurant overlooking the shrimp boats in the harbor. There were outdoor heaters and really clean nice outdoor seating on the deck. The restaurant has an interesting back story and themed meals & drinks.

we have been going to ft myers beach for years, but have never been to doc fords. this was our first time. nice place sat outside and it was very windy, would have been nice to have been in a more sheltered area. they were very busy, but we had good food and service.

“Fun Lively Bar and Restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 17, 2013

Very scenic place to kick back and watch the boats in the harbor and have a drink and a great meal. Try the fish tacos which were excellent or the fish of the day which was trigger fish. One of the better places to eat in Ft. Myers Beach.

“Good Food - A Bit Hard to Find”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 16, 2013

Arrived at Doc Ford's tonight about 5:30 p.m. for an early dinner. We were seated outside upstairs at our request. Nice view and a fun waitress by the name of Heidi. We ordered a couple of drinks while we reviewed the menu. Heidi explained the "special" special of the day as she called it for $24.95. A grouper served with kale, potatoes, bits of bacon, and what I would call a sweet sour sauce. Very, very tasty. I ordered a cup of Doc's famous clam chowder, and it was fabulous. Rich and creamy. My wife had the shrimp roast (21.95) with vegetables over rice which she said was excellent.

A wonderful, relaxing meal served by an attentive staff. Tab for the meals with three drinks came to $61.85. We would come back and highly recommend Doc Ford's.
