Just returned from our Florida vacation and stayed 5 nights at the Mango Street Inn. We were truly impressed by the nice surroundings and the warm and welcoming hospitality by Tree and Dan. If you want soulless and impersonal hotel rooms with the same standard breakfast everyday, go somewhere else. If you like a cozy place with personal atmosphere, individual rooms and hand-made hearty breakfast surprising you every morning, go there!! I certainly would consider this as primo lodging the good old Florida style.
The location is very child and dog-friendly (we liked Cookie, the local dog!!), yet still relaxing for those without such companions. Rooms are clean and provide all comforts you will need including a fully equipped kitchen.
Right across the street, you will find the very nice beach with lots of shells. Dan and Tree will accommodate you with all amenities you need for a day in the sand, including a cute little red wagon for your little one.
Fort Myers Beach really is a family destination. The Inn is close to all fun action (if you want it), but also solitude and nature at beloved Lover`s Key State Park few miles south (which we preferred). The Inn itself is quiet and relaxing and we slept in comfort every night.
If we return to Southwest Florida, we will certainly come back to the Mango Street Inn.
