What a wonderful inn and the best hosts imaginable!
Everything about Hibiscus House is great. You will feel as if you are staying with friends. Pam and David go out of their way to make sure everyone is happy. We spent 4 nights with them. The breakfasts were so special--not just the food, but the community that Pam and David created. They joined us for breakfast, and the conversation and laughter went on and on. Pam and David had great suggestions about things to do, where to go, how to get there, etc. The place is extremely clean. Pam and David take great pride in their inn--as well they should!

David and Pam are so warm and hospitable--it's clear they truly enjoy spending time with the people who come through their doors. I would definitely recommend them to someone traveling to the Ft. Myers area!

Room Tip: The Periwinkle Room has a fabulous updated bathroom and a private entrance. Lovely!

David and Pam McCurrach run a perfect B & B. Their home is charming, due in large measure to Pam's background as an interior designer. She is also a warm and lovely lady. David is the chef, creating one marvelous breakfast after another--and never the same one! The location is great, being within walking distance of restaurants and the town center. If you have a terrible sense of direction like my husband and I do, David will patiently walk you through the twists and turns in the road. He is also full of suggestions as to what to do during your visit. We had a lovely, relaxing time with these fine hosts and also with their guests, who were, without exception, very interesting. The townspeople are warm and friendly, and drivers exhibit a politeness one rarely finds.

Room Tip: We were in the luxurious Periwinkle Room, which, being in the back of the house, was absolutely quie...

We were married in southwest Florida and had to catch and early flight out of town. My wife, who has worked in the B&B industry, was the first most in love and impressed with this place. Pam and David, the owners, greeted us at the front door and showed us to our room, which was large, clean, and had an awesome bathroom. Every detailed was covered. We thought we might have a bottle of wine and they brought ice, glasses and a bottle opener. The room already had snacks and water waiting. Breakfast was simple, but good. Coffee was excellent!

Realistically, this place has great rates and is far better than any hotel that we know in fort myers.

As others have written, the owners of this inn treated my two friends and me like family visitors. Though we arrived well before check-in time, David welcomed us and allowed us to use the facilities before we went on to sight-see for a few hours. One friend and I stayed in the lovely two-bedded Periwinkle Room, and our other friend stayed downstairs in the very pleasant Jasmine Room. During the night that friend got sick, and when we explained the situation to David and Pam in the morning, they were extremely solicitous and helpful, preparing a special tray for her and allowing us to stay beyond check-out time. They really are charming hosts who do all that they can to make their guests feel at home.
The inn is an easy walk to the Edison-Ford Estate and to several nearby restaurants and only a short drive to Fort Myers' attractive downtown waterfront.

Room Tip: All the rooms looked lovely, but the Periwinkle has two very comfortable queen beds and a private en...

We stayed at the Hibiscus House last weekend and had such a nice time. We were in the area for a wedding and while the wedding party chose to stay at a large hotel chain, we opted for the coziness and warmth that the Hibiscus House offered. We made the right choice. Southern charm is the best way I can describe our experience and we will certainly stay there again. We chose the Orchid Room and it was spectacular with a king four poster and a rainforest shower. . Breakfast was over the top with David's homemade crepes with fresh fruit. It was delicious and we were thankful that our hosts, David and Pam, took time from their schedule to sit and chat with us about the renovations, the Fort Myers area and their love of their historic home.

David and Pamela have created something really special here from the fantastic renovation to the superb hospitality and gourmet breakfast. Huge bathrooms with double sinks and enormous showers with rain head sprinklers, everything is high end. This is a pampering experience not to be missed. The highlight of our six week US trip!
