“Pyramid Village”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 24, 2013

Thank you Gertrude! Our stay was most enjoyable and different. Enjoyed the sulphur springs and the kids enjoyed sleeping in the loft of the A frame. We have a full kitchen, wi-fi, and laundry. Good price and close to everything. We have family that live in Ft. Myers come over for a BBQ. They had no idea that there was a Pyramid Village and enjoyed the place very much. We did not take advantage of the bikes, but they were available. We stayed Christmas of 2011.

We just spent a week at the Pyramids and we loved it. My daughter had her own room and bathroom upstairs, which was alot more convenient than a hotel room. We had a full kitchen, wi-fi, and a washer and dryer. Even though we were on vacation, it was nice to be able to cook and do laundry while there. They are located centrally in Fort Myers, which was great. We were literally 20 miles from anything we wanted to do. The staff was extremely nice and made us feel like we were at home. The swimming area and hot tub were very nice. This place is a wonderful find, one that we plan to come back to in the future.

When I first came to Florida in February 2011 looking for relaxation and sunshine I found the Pyramid Village by chance, and I completely fell in love with this place. The managers Getraud and Walter were so friendly and open-hearted, that it felt like family. The pyramid concept is unique, full of positive energy. After 10 days I was completely recovered from the stress I had before. Inside the pyramid you find everything, a fully equipped kitchen, TV in living and bed room, telephone, WLAN upon request, BBQ outside, etc. Everything is arranged in harmony and kept clean and tidy. The pyramids encircle the beautiful Pyramid lake with a nice fountain. It's always nice to take a swim in the lake and listen to the calming sound of the fountain while relaxing on a sunbed. After my first stay in 2011 it was clear to me, that I need to return, which I
did in February 2012, this time for 2 full weeks. Again, I was completely satisfied, and it was a great pleasure to see Gertraud and Walter again.

Tino.

My 3 friends and I, who are 19-20, stayed in the Pyraminds a couple weeks ago and loved it. The pyraminds were so cozy, and provided the space we needed perfectly with all the convieniences of home. It definitely felt like a home away from home for all of us. It was 100% better than staying in a hotel room. The pyramid was spotless and the pictures provided on tripadvisor are exactly like what you see in real life. The pyramids were also very close to a lot of attractions that interested us, and on arrival we were given a map by Gertraude with all the beaches and nearby attractions circled on it. Gertraude was very helpful whenever we needed her and she was always around offering a wave and a smile whenever we would cross paths. We never felt out of place even though we were younger than most people staying. If we ever go back to Fort Myers we will certainly be staying at Pyramid Village again.

Our stay at the Pyramids really exceeded our expectations. The place was really just as great as the pictures showed. Everything you need is there. And Gertraud was the best! The pool and hot tub were great and available all day and night. The washer/dryer was a nice convenience. Our only complaint is that we like to sleep in a dark room and the bedroom curtains do very little to block the well-lit outside areas. The internet service cost $10 extra and was hit and miss, but my GPS didn't work well either, so there must be some signal reception issue in that location. We vacationed with my sister-in-law and brother-in-law, and it was so much nicer than staying at a hotel. Sure hope we get a chance to stay again next year.

Room Tip: We have stayed in 3 units and they are all great!

Your first encounter with Gertrude will set the most pleasant tone for your stay. Our pyramid patio abbutted the "lake" and hot tub. The pyramid was cozy, had everything you would need. It is well located, easy to get to. The only complaint we had is that the curtains in our unit did not block out the outdoor lighting, which remains on all night, and the layout of lights and switches took a bit to get used to. We all decided that we would stay here again.

Room Tip: I would choose a pyramid adjacent to the lake and one with full glass exposure to the lake, it only...
