I loved this nature spot in Fort Myers. I walked the 1.2 mile boardwalk and enjoyed the lush tropical greenery. What was even better are all the beautiful Florida birds located here. I saw egrets, herons, native Florida songbirds, and many white ibis. The great thing here is you don't even need your binoculars to see the birds. I saw many up close, especially the white ibis. The boardwalk has several lookout spots to spot the birds. The attraction is very affordable, only $1.00 an hour to park on the lot. There is no admission fee. It is easily accessible from all of Fort Myers. I almost passed up this attraction because I thought I wouldn't see much, but very glad I didn't. This turned out to be one of my favorite places to visit in Fort Myers. I was there recently in January 2007.
