“love the Slough”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 25, 2012

we park and walk there 2 to 3 times a week. We feels safe and secure there. the parking is $1.00 for an hour and that is how long it takes us to walk. we walk to stay in shape and there are no really safe places here in this area. It is all boardwalk and shaded.

“Must see”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 23, 2012

What a great day. Easy walk. We took the tour, and broke off at the end because they were heading back and there was still more to see. We sat quietly at one of the ponds and saw turtles, an anhinga, an alligator. The water and reflections are just amazing. Highly recommend taking the time to go.

“Well worth a visit a hidden gem”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 7, 2012

This is a hidden gem if you like nature. We went twice to look at the Florida wildlife. the first time we went on our own and the second for a free guided tour 9.30am on Wednesdays. This is a borad walk, where if you spend the time and have the pateince to look, you will see aligators ( small ones) birds, plants, snakes in their own environment. It is very safe and the volunteers have loads of information. We went for an hour and stayed for 3. The only cost is a very small amount for parking. Well worth a visit.

“Educational walk for all ages”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 5, 2012

We took the guided walk with our grandchildren, aged 8 to 16.
About a one mile long boardwalk through the woods and above the swamp. Plenty of time to take pictures and ask questions.
Knowledgeable guide.
