Read previous reviews...remember "It's a slough, not a zoo"! You are entering an Eco system and the animals are not there to entertain you. You are privileged to enter their habitat. Walk with a soft step, with your ears and eyes open and your heart ready to absorb what nature has to share with you. Take time to notice the "little miracles"...the intricate wing pattern of the dragon fly, the reflection of the cypress trees in the water pools, the variety of ferns, bromeliads. Perhaps you will see an alligator sunning, ferral pig grunting in a thicket or an otter...but no guarantees. What is gauranteed, is the opportunity to view a shrinking Florida environ. It is a blessing to have the Six Mile Cypress Slough preserved for future generations. Enter with an appreciative, respectful attitude.
