I would like to start by saying I fine dine once a week. I do not dine at middle of the road restaurants. I love to cook so when I dine out it has to be spectacular. Courtney's was wonderful on many levels. The staff was very knowledgable, professional and friendly. The atmosphere was that of a restaurant you would see in Boston, New York or Providence. I was there on a business trip and was quite impressed.
I am very fussy. The wine selection was quite extensive. I ordered stags leap Cabernet.
They brought over warm bread, with a garlic, olive oil dipping sauce which I will try to make myself.. Loved it. That evening they offered a sesame encrusted ahi tuna it was perfectly prepared.. The dessert special that evening was pumpkin cheesecake. A Perfect way to end the night.
I am writing this for 2 reasons.. One , I own 3 businesses in R.I. So I try to frequent privately owned family restaurants and opposed to large corporate franchises. And secondly, I am hoping if I brag enough about their restaurant maybe they would someday expand their business and open a second location in Providence R.I. So I could have that fabulous food once a week.:)
