Going to good restaurants with fine food is a priority for us. I live in NYC so the selection of great restaurants is endless. So reading the excellent reviews for Sasse's, I couldn't wait to try it. True the food was fresh and delicious. The service was very good and the chef/owner was very friendly. Food was a cut above. The prices however, in a restaurant with just a little ambiance in an all but deserted strip commercial property were equal or above good NYC restaurants. My osso buco was very good but $38 was excessive; and this is a la carte pricing. The menu is limited in the number of choices. A shrimp/pasta item is $27.
