Italian food is more often than not one of thoes foods that is either very good or very bad. I decided to visit the Mona Lisa restaurant based on the reviews on this site. I arrived to find the restaurant about 1/4 full which had me courious being it was a Friday evening for a place rated what it is here. After being seated I was visited by a waitress that seemed as if she really didnt want to be there - no smile, no greeting, just a "what do you want to drink". Ok whatever, everyone has a bad once in a while, she wasn't rude, she just acted like she didnt want to be there. So I proceeded to order a Caesar side salad and a 10' personal pizza. First the salad arrived, and i can now say I have tried the most tastless salad that has ever existed. I had to salt and pepper it just to know it was there. Then the pizza arrived, it was the "Tour of Italy", now I dont remember seeing it listed as a white pizza, but there was not sauce on it, why would you make a pizza without any type of sauce at all? I have no idea, but whatever. So I ordered some maranara sauce to dip my pizza in. Honest to God they brought me a bowl of Tomato soup. At this point I am thinking could this get any worse? By the time I was leaving the parking lot I had an upset stomach.
Final note: I love Italitan, but AVIOD this place like the plauge. In the past week I have eaten Itialian four times (on business trip) without menchening names there are two really good Italian places nearby. One is in the Bell Tower Shops Plaza the other is next to Chilies off University Prky. Take my advise, if nothing else for the good of your health.
