We often go to Sweet Tomatoes for lunch because it is a healthy altunitive to fast food. It's set up like a caffetirea where you start out getting your tray and silverwear and filling your plates at the salad bar.
The salad bar is filled with different types of lettuce and all the additions,it is cleanand well attended at all times people who will be happy to help you .You then pay the cashier and get your drinks find a seat and enjoy.
They also have pizza and pasta bread and soup as well as many different types of desert. The servers are always clearing your empty dishes and offering to refill your drinks.I have never had dinner there but I
have to belive it still the same. I have eaten there many times and never had a bad experience. Buffet is great for kids and is quite affordable.A good place to go with the family or on a lunch break.

I have been to several Sweet Tomatoes in Florida and I have never had anything wrong with the one in Fort Myers! Always fresh, restaurant is clean, food is just awesome. I have driven by Sweet Tomatoes countless times on Rt41. Always intrigued by it, but never gave it a try. I'm not picky about what and where I eat, but my first choices are almost always sit-down independently owned establishments. I tend to shy away from large chains or fast-food restaurants. That being said, Sweet Tomatoes was simply delightful from start to finish. The selections of salads and toppings, soups, foccacia, and pastas are numerous, fresh, and well-prepared. The serving pans are continually refilled and refreshed. The staff keeps a well-trained eye on their offerings, even to the point of frequently checking the food temperatures with a thermometer. The place is clean, and the staff is very polite and pleasant. And to top it off-the price is amazing for the amount of food choices offered. My 83 year old mom paid only $6.99 for her meal, and mine was $8.99! Give Sweet Tomatoes a try and you'll be surprised. I will definitely plan a return visit.
